All Things Bikes and Tacos! (...and every vehicle imaginable)

Just got a Yakima Hangover. Seems sturdy as heck. Will update after a few uses. I will still be using the tailgate pad for most local stuff. This will be for longer rides overnight. That way we can use the bed for secure storage with the hard tonneau cover.

It’s a 2018 Specialized Status. It’s my 12 YOs DH bike.

 

Correct... just putting out there to keep in the back of your mind. IDK about you but I have gone full yard sale while riding the rocky trails in PA and watched my bike ping and bounce off those rocks a few times.

 

Yesterday up in Hayward, WI I raced a 30 mile mtb race on the great CAMBA single track. The Yeti SB100 handles the Rocks, Boulders and Roots perfectly especially on downhills.

 

What grips?

 

Finally got the semi-fat back to a rideable state. Had to swap out the fork for one with a taller steerer tube to prevent some numbness and arm fatigue. Really happy to finally ride it again and start prepping for some long distance trips.

Nice helmet/bike matchup. I’m on a 6D as well. Unbeatable protection, but it’s freakin big. I took a bit of a spill couple days ago, nice to know my noggin is well protected. I’ve had a few concussions in my life, and I’d just shrug it off and keep going. Protecting my brain is important as hell now. So glad we are starting to pay more attention to that nowadays.
