I just picked up the line and fitting from Advanced today. Added them to my cart the other day and then they sent me a 25% off coupon the next day. It ended up being about Seven dollars and change after tax. Lol!

Now I just have to find time to do it.

 

Good luck with the fittings on those lines. Without the sleeved Toyota fitting, you may have leakage issues. I tried the same thing at first and the fitting going in to the release cylinder doesn’t have a long enough threadless end to seat properly and ended up leaking causing my clutch to have no pressure about a week after installing. Let me stuck at an intersection unable to shift gears.

I didn’t think the stock clutch was that bad, but I figured for the cost of the parts from Autozone and the time it takes to do it (2 hours for me) I’d give it a shot. Well, I had no idea what I was missing, huge improvement! This is the best bang for buck mod I’ve done. And that shield goes back on a lot easier that it comes off, thank god. I also put the front end up on ramps for better access underneath which seemed to help the bleeding process.

 

Ramps would have been smart. I keep forgetting I have those. I just used a jack under my skid plate

 

I’ve actually got a 5 ton lift and ramps are my “too lazy to move 4 vehicles to get to it” tool ha!

 

Well shit! I completely forgot about this. I bought the shit from @Trident904 almost 6 months ago and completely forgot about it. Guess I need to go look for it in my garage.

Here I thought me and @mZiggy were the only ones left but this list of slackers is getting out of hand!

 

Those of you that got the line from autozone need to check the fitting going into the release cylinder. I have seen several of them leak because they can’t be seated into the sleeve.

I’ve left a piece of cardboard under the slave cylinder to make sure it’s not leaking. Did about 200 miles today of stop and go driving so we’ll see how she holds up.

I haven’t seen any leaks in mine but I planned to keep an eye on it anyway just make sure.

When I installed mine I got the threads started on the slave cylinder, then attached and tightened the upper line. Then I shoved it all the way into the slave cylinder and held it as I tightened it down.

So far so good.

It would definitely be easy to have it not line up and get a good seal since the bends aren’t exact.

 

Just putting it out there. I did my first one with the autozone line and fittings and it was fine for about 500 miles over a week of driving until it wasn’t fine anymore. Keep an eye on it. I swapped the fitting out with a sleeve tipped fitting and it held just fine.
