Thanks again for everything Trey! It was a fun time and if it wasn't for our family gathering that evening, we would have stayed!

 

Thanks Trey! It was great to meet you too! Thank you for letting me ride shotgun and check out the action. 4x4 will def be in the works. gotta find the right price! You got a solid rig! Yeah wish i could have stayed but had to meet the GF's dad help move some stuff and sell some stuff.

 

Ive got some on the go pro! Computers broke so im gonna see if i can get it downloaded on my GF computer and i will post it once i can.

The parking lot . Def wouldnt take a 2wd or stock without armor.

 

Zero! lol Ain't no way I'm taking my truck down those trails without at least some sliders and a little more lift! I ended up airing down to 25psi and then just left my truck in the parking lot and jumped in with @Jerneyman. Ain't no way a 2wd will make it back up those hills either!

 

my first trip to a park was stock height, actually a little lower than stock because weight.

I had TOYO AT2 265/75r16, sliders, and skids. I did pretty well keeping up with most at AOP.

 

With sliders and skids there wasn’t much to worry about for you though. Stock height without sliders and having never wheeled the truck before is a recipe for bad things.

 

I think we talked about this spot when we passed it. It was invisible for the direction we were traveling and I drove right off it. Almost fubared my rocker panel. I made good use of those step bars.

 

I see that you have some sliders now! I remember that spot we had to go around to the left, before we came up on that log in the middle of the trail.

Is your truck running ok after all that smoke?

 

Yeah. I drove it from Anniston to Athens yesterday without issue.

 

I'm going to look into the oil-catch can mod for our 3rd gens....

 

So how about the lady with the handheld radio rocking the cargo pants and polo shirt trying to direct 4 different groups of people on the rubicon trail. She came to the park dressed for that exact moment.

Was it just me, or did anyone else get a kick out of that.

Nah, she was with one of the Jeep groups. Lol

I want a rubicon gladiator.... if i had one i'd still hang out with you guys instead of the jeep threads though.

 

I saw one for the first time in Anniston in the way home from Chocco. I think it’s a very cool concept and I wouldn’t mind having one. However, the wheelbase is way too long and makes it look very disproportionate in my opinion.

It would be a cool DD, but it wouldn’t be as comfortable of a ride as the Tacoma. It would be a cool trail rig, but price and wheelbase are major drawbacks.

Soo, build a Toyota pickup trail rig it is.
