Did all of this prior to my most recent adventure in the eastern sierras ca., and needed every, single, thing. Best advice I can give you is to NOT go cheap on the things that matter most.

2 flats on the same trail. Had 1st one popped a bead on the side of a cliff, 2nd one after rolling over some sharp shale rocks.

Also, because I had the tire insurance from Discount Tire, I was able to trade in my old Duratracs and pick up the new Goodyear UltraTerrains for less than half the price. So far on the street, they are SO, SO, SO (thats 3) much more quieter and pleasant to ride on. Taking them to Big Bear this weekend for a photoshoot, looking forward to seeing them in the dirt/rocks.

Pulled and painted exhaust tip with high temp paint. Last chrome pieces to go will be the rear bumper caps hopefully this week, ordered black replacements. Will post pics when all complete........

Swapping out the whole switch assembly is simple and only takes a few minutes.

However, the red button switch comes with green lighting, so if you want it match the blue in our trucks you have to disassemble both switch assemblies and install the red button on the original switch. That’s a PITA, but not difficult.

 

Hood bulge and scoop decals... scratched the bulge decal a bit while squeezing out the solution. Might cut a new one tonight and replace it tomorrow.

Removed bumper pad today. 9 of the 12 retaining clips were broken. Three were completely broken off. One is missing. Epoxied them in place. Will reinstall tomorrow. Hopefully it works.
