    Hi.

I've been saving up from work and i decided to buy a tacoma as my first car (i'm 16). I found an 2004 4 cylinder 2.7 liter 2WD prerunner tacoma with 58,000 miles, it's also a King cab. The truck was driven by this old lady's husband who died a few months earlier. My dad and i talked the lady down to 13,500 for the truck and she just decided to sell it.

The truck has a few dents, there's one on the front bumper and one on the side of the car. Me and my dad were planning on trying to fix the dents ourself and use touch up paint to fix the scrathes. I'm also planning on painting the rims flat black and possibly getting it lifted for a cheap price? When the tires on i wear out im going to get big offroad tires aswell.

Me and my dad are planning on towing our boat with the truck, our boat weighs around 3,400lbs..

I was curious if you all thought i was a decent deal? I saw that the sugested retail price on kelly blue book is around 18,000. Could you also please look at the attachment pictures and give me suggesions on how to paint the rims and fix the dent in the bumper.

also... sorry if i posted this in the wrong section i'm not good with useing forums.

    Thanks!

I have the same truck. Same color but 2002.

2.7 + auto = gutless. I only used mine to tow my motorcycle to tracks. Slow but works fine for me. Slower with the slightest incline.

Nice truck. You got a good deal.
You will have to replace that bumper. Do a google search for a replacement. I found one for my 2002 at a discounted price at a Toyota dealer.

I just found a front bumper for $80. but im going to try hammering the dent out before i buy it.

Also... When I paint the rims, should I take the rims off and paint them? Or could i just tape everything up and paint the rims while they are on the truck?

Nice truck! It should do fine pulling the boat. Just let the motor rev. :)
