I'm looking through this thread, and wondering if I really need to DB HD cover.. I'd love to save that extra $ and put towards Voodoo mounts and rack.

Question about the Voodoo mounts on the bed. The weight limits (I weight 300 lbs even (without shoes on :D)). are for the bracket. Is the weight ultimately being supported by the edges of the bed? So the bracket sits on the bed side, and is only held in place by the bolt? I hope what I'm asking makes sense. I'm wanting to be careful of my all up weight...

That is correct, the weight is supported but the sides of the bed, the bolt just holds it in place.

    What he said....

Yeah mine sit on the top of the bed sides and I’ve done about 1000 miles off road now without any issues. Just make sure your rail bolts are tight as with anything. For me I don’t own ATV’s or SXS that I would put on top of the cover so I didn’t do the HD Diamondback and I have no complaints.

First of all OP... Killer build!!
secondly the bike racks you have... do you have a link to them? I've got one of the older KBVoodoo tall racks and really want to add the bike racks to the side but I'm not seeing the brackets anymore.

Hey thanks btw! Tomorrow I’m getting my son and I’s two MTB serviced and tuned as we are heading up to Whistler BC again to hit their bike park. Wow it’s amazing there and we camp all the way up and back. Pretty epic place and trip0737C00F-07F4-4C23-89C8-4BAAEAA20D11.jpgAE3206D3-4CB8-42CB-9157-ACDDD4F2DA50.jpg

Anyone know the bolt size for the rear mount with the long bed rack on short bed? I figure it's fine temporarily, but wouldn't mind upgrading it with a steel bolt.

Did I reply to you? I think I used a larger 3/8” or something, I drilled out the original hole and threw in a larger bolt so it was stronger than the little OEM one. I had to lean out the top of the tail light, pretty easy.

My drawer is 90% done that slides out from under my DB cover. Used it Father’s Day weekend off roading with my family. Works great but took forever to design and build. Just need to get the electrical hooked up

That first picture of the ocean is off Usal Rd in between Hwy 1 and Usal Campground and beach. Beautiful place. The elk come down in the morning too

Usal Beach is just north of Rockport CA

New drawer done! Slips under the Diamondback cover and I use some bungees to get the water line up and out of way. There’s a ton of places to attach to under the cover so it works nicely as I’m sliding out either the drawer or the fridge91500D54-1E4A-47AE-90F5-1AA4DE2692AD.jpgBD0E9680-8B37-4C7F-A48E-7F2065CD3204.jpg

Of course I don’t have a photo with the bungees900C56EC-B579-4598-B99A-F05751E4F9A5.jpg

HAHA thanks. Overland Bound asked to do another walk around video that we are going to film on Friday before I go to Bodie ghost town in the high desert of California. I love your rack!

Where did you get that hood decal from? And did you have someone put it on for you?

Random question... When you had your previous tent on the rack, could you open it with a bike on the tray? Obviously not the side you open the tent, but the backside?

I have the hi rise bars and plan on getting a rtt. But I put my bike on the hi rise bars now and trying to figure out what to do when I get a rtt (I trailer a raft).
