Was on the tire carrier for a whole 2 weeks, before my baby brother got his hands on it.
Took a trip down to Tennessee, he kept finger fucking the rack and carrier, so I ended up giving it to him as a Birthday Gift.

Now I just flip the tire every week, so the sun don’t beat up the sidewalls to bad

 

I wish my girl's brother was that generous.. he drove my truck and goes "know what this needs? 5.29s." As if I needed any confirmation .. but I'm missing my P9/11 BAH right now

I threw mine in there and forgot about it, but I have the OEM tonneau cover as well. Figure that bitch would have been lifted along with the hi lift by some college kid if it weren't for that.

I gotta figure out something so the spare don’t grow legs and walk off. I keep saying I’m gonna get a bike cable and lock it up, yet here I am, still haven’t got it yet

 

Going back to school at 34 is.. interesting haha.

I didn't think I'd like the cover that much, but it came with the truck as a "take it.. or take it and sell it." I wouldn't buy one without it now.

 

Hang in there. Did the whole TA thing to get my AA, not looking forward to finishing my Bachelors.

I picked up one of those OEM Tonneau Covers a couple years ago from a salvage yard, worked great, but got rid of when I added the rack, kinda wish I didn’t sell it. Who knows, maybe a Softopper might be next.

Softoppers never on sale, resale on them are as bad as 4runners and Tocos.

I owe Eddy at @SOS CONCEPTS a huge “Thank You” for getting this out to me. Dude is truly first class! Second to none customer service, he’s hands down one of the best guys to deal with!


Had to beat feet to the powder coating shop, to pick up my bumper before they closed. I got small town problems, they’re only open 4 days a week from 0800-1700




I went with Akzo Nobel’s Tuxedo Black wich has some gloss but more of a wrinkled finish.



Loaded up for the 45 min drive home



Unloaded at the house. Yes I know it’s gonna take a beating, but it can look pretty for now. Might even fuck around and find a mall to stunt on
Can’t wait to get it mounted up, still gotta pull the ARB Rear Summit Bumper off, and get some cutting disks from the friendly Harbor Freight. Ordered up some edge trimming for the bedsides, which should be here on Thursday via prime.

Mehh thought about using the handy harbor freight moving blankets in the truck, said fuck it, had to beat feet back to post before COB

 

Ah, I recall those breaks. I’d offer to pick up lunch somewhere further away or that took a little longer. May as well run an errand while out

Got the Rear Bumper mounted up.
Cut lines on the bed sides aren’t the straightest, but I can live with it.
Install was pretty straight forward, a little rough knocking it out solo, but definitely doable.

Huge thanks to Eddy at @SOS CONCEPTS for getting this bumper out to me wicked quick.
Pretty stoked to have another piece of Rock Solid SOS Armor fitted to the Taco.

How was the cutting? My buddy is scared to do his own thinking the wheel will bind up against the fender.

 

Not too bad, did take a few mins to get everything lined up. But all in all turned out ok

Not a whole lot has been going on with either the Taco or the 4runner. But huge thanks to @clayshutr for setting me up with some new to me FJ Steelies. The plan is to get em cleaned up and paired with some Cooper ST Maxx 255/80/17 All Terrain tires.
