Second, migrating out of Africa caused different species of pre-historic hominins to interact which lead to the development of tools and language. Third, a major fluctuation in climate globally around 200,000 years ago caused what is believed to be the most significant increase in development.

It had absolutely nothing to do with meat, in fact meat was rarely eaten. Men went on the hunt for big game as a right of passage or a ceremonial event, which is why you see it depicted in prehistoric art, they rarely killed and ate large game. They survived on the gathering of plants, nuts, fruits etc. (and possibly some small game but there is not sufficient midden evidence to prove this.) from the women and children.
