Your examples don't really apply, so there is that. But, to stretch if I'm at a park and a smoker moves to the place next to me they would be prohibited by the second hand smoke laws. There is also the question of does the nonsmoker have the right to peaceful enjoyment of a public space without being harmed by others activities? Preventable diseases with permanent life long consequences are significantly different than moving in next to a dairy farm.

Pro-diseasers are buried deep in conspiracy theory land. I had a conspiracy theorist coworker and I got to learn what made him tick. For him, conspiracy theory was his religion. He had no use for God, Jesus or any organized religion, according to him they are just conspiracies to control the common man. But, his conspiracy theories filled the same place in his heart as God does for believers. Religion and conspiracy are ways to explain the difficult to accept. How did a lone gunman kill Kennedy, must be a conspiracy. How did a giraffe come into existence, must be intelligent design. Some children are autistic, must be vaccines. Rather than looking at the facts as you know them at the time and going where they take you, they are a short cut to the place where belief is more important that fact.

What's the solution for pro-diseasers? I don't care if they die, Darwin award and all. But, I do care when a Darwin award candidate takes innocent people with them.

I think this phrase in itself is endemic of a bigger problem of not actually wanting discussion.

Your examples don't really apply either, and we can analogy and/or slippery slope our way to oblivion. Ultimately, you're the one wanting to force people to do things, no matter how well intentioned you are. Which is policy and politics.

Let's go back to science.

 

I think a few weeks ago in port canaveral, i saw them doing testing with the crew capsale in the water. was pretty cool to see it and all.

 

Yup. Was helping with the (now deprecated) test up in Bellingham for the carbon version of starship.

 

nice, i kind of miss that area. though not so much the base or your background photo. haha. left last summer after 3 years on mellon.

 

Yeah, 378 life blows. Did a tour on the Midge 02-05...

 

munro 09-11 then 15-18 on mellon. last year on vigilant and next 3 on confidence. i do miss the cold sometimes. but on the plus side, i get to watch the launches as long as im in port and such.
