No work on the truck recently. Still have the front end torn apart. Reassembly should start this weekend though. In the mean time I've been investing in things to make working on the truck easier. New toolbox and some new tools. Not pictured... Husky 200pc socket set, some more Knipex cobra pliers, Knipex needle nose, and a 3/8" gimbal socket to match the 1/4" gimbal. 20190612_171336.jpg 20190616_131849.jpg 20190615_154623.jpg

I’ve got more than one scar on my hands from those, and I wasn’t even holding the knife...

If you ever find yourself looking for more blade strength look at Outdoor Edge, both are quality products thatre razor sharp.

Have you changed the blade yet? That causes quite a few cuts too....

And so it begins. Boxing the frame, new cross member, better supporting mounts for the rear bumper and clean up the wiring.
    This is all for today.

My clutch fluid reservoir slowly loses fluid over a couple months, if I top it off it'll be slightly below the full line several weeks later. No leaks that I can see, though it would have to be pretty small if there was one. Any other reason this would happen?

There must be a leak. Brake fluid doesn't evaporate and it doesn't really have anywhere to hide

I would check the master cylinder where you fill and the slave cylinder on the transmission for any leaks. Check the lines and check on the inside behind the clutch.

If it comes down to it, it's relatively easy replacing the master, slave and lines.

Good to know, thanks. I'll look over it more closely this week.

I have developed an intermittent 'sticky' clutch pedal feel lately. High RPM shifts and for a split second it feels like the clutch pedal sticks at the floor before coming up. Not every time but once in awhile.

That may be where the leak is and it's just getting soaked up by the carpet.

Some reading I've done suggests that if there's a leak in one of the lines, it can effect the pedal's ability to return normally which is likely what I'm dealing with here.

That’s exactly how I procrastinate too!
Once bought AND waited for the arrival of a lug stud installation tool, before I would rotate my tires. You know, just incase.

This isnt the reason I'm procrastinating. Got my front end apart and needed a lot more parts than originally thought. So I've been waiting on parts to get delivered, etc. I'm almost $1000 into a $400 front end rebuild. To soothe my pain, I went and blew another $1000 on tools lol.

I havent used these yet but one thing I've always hated is cheap ass screwdrivers. But couldn't get the good ones because they always end up used as chisels or ice picks lol. But now I have the lockable box so I can keep unwanted people out of it. Time to invest in some better tools.

Thanks, Lowes is clearing their Kobakt line of tools and boxes out in exchange for Craftsman. They had the Kobalt box marked down from $750 to $500 so I couldn't pass it up. Shoukd have got the top box roo since they had it marked down from $600 to $375 but when I outgrow this box, I'd rather just buy another bottom roller chest than have the top box.

Wasnt planning on needing wheel bearings, tie rods, or lower ball joints. Thought it was just going to be changing bushings, upper ball joints and one CV. But hey, I got it apart so might as well replace everything.
