Yes, I am currently maintaining my truck, a lot of issues to solve. Squeaky rear wheel, replacing the front shocks and springs, maintaining fluid levels, body work. However, driving fast up a hill, and when the truck engine is under load/stress. This loud rattle is something I want to figure out. Any suggestions as to what this could be?

Could be a bunch of things....is it an automatic or a manual transmission? If it’s the MT, could be a throw out bearing. Happens after a while on any MT vehicle.

Another vote for heat shields, check the ones above the cats those tend to get rusty/beat up from all the heat and age over time.

If it happens under load you might be looking at bad cats themselves (material broken up inside and rattling around) but you'd likely be throwing a code if that were the case.

Also could be the engine pinging if it happens under load when accelerating, but that's pretty easy to determine if it's coming from the engine or somewhere else.

Yes, I have tried to upload the video of the rattle, still trying to figure out the file format. thanks for your response. In reading my Haynes automotive manual I'm thinking it might be a worn piston pin or piston pin hole, or valve tapping or improperly adjusted valve clearances. An experienced mechanic has told me that Tacoma trucks rarely need the valve adjusted.

Got the issue solved, loose and broken bolt on box above the exhaust manifold, part of the exhaust or vacuum system. I'll post a picture soon.
