I’m still on 33s now, but full armor. I’ll Be bumping up to 35s, but I’m not in a rush. Still don’t have OV tune. That keeps getting pushed back for other stuff.

5.29's and a manual transmission is pretty wild! You'd be revving close to 3k at 75mph in 6th gear. Based on numbers alone I would suggest against that.

Really curious about this. I’ll be this first to admit I’m not up to speed on the numbers and science behind it. I’ll give Chris, and Charley a call up at JT’s in WA

Either way too late, already bought em.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

"The numbers" say it's about the same final as not having a 6th gear.

I'm on 33's with bumpers, skids and a winch. Installed the rear today and took it on a short test drive. Immediately felt the difference! I'm glad I found out ecgs sells fully assembled third members and clam shells in this thread . Made life a whole lot easier lol

I pray for your bank account, that's some big money before the cores are returned.

Let us know what you decide on, I’m curious to hear more first hand info from anyone running 5.29s with a MT.

Yep, my buddy and I just had a fishing trip down to Amelia Island. He has a MT and was stuck in 4th the whole trip for like 6.5hrs.
He also wants a gear swap.

Believe it was 2600 without additional add-ons like lsd or locker or gear oil.

Local shops charge about 2300-2500 for the swap (parts and labor) so it's not even that big of a hit on the bank account
