    TW,

I’m looking for a 17” spare (changed from 18” Limited wheels to 17” Pro wheels) so I can finally have a full size spare. I’m not inclined to spend 200 bucks on another Pro wheel just to stick it under the bed. I could buy a new spare wheel on eBay for over 100 bucks, or buy something used on CL with similar specs— though most people will not sell just one of a set of 4.

Anyone else do this successfully and have any wisdom to share?

    Thanks!
    Greg

I have the Amazon wheel shown with a matching tire mounted, fits fine and tucks perfectly into the location with a 265/70/17 tire and no issues balancing so it was true.

Not sure why you need OEM unless you plan on rotating the 5 tires regularly. I bought it to get me home until I replace the blown tire or all 4 depending on wear.

I saw some folks had concerns with the factory lugs working with the Amazon wheel. Did you have any issues? Have you mounted yours up and used it before?

I had it mounted up for about 10 miles until I swapped it out with the plugged original tire. I didnt have any problems with the stock Offroad factory lugs but if you're really concerned, buy a spare set specifically for the spare and keep them in the tool kit.

Or you could just get a bigger tire and keep your factory steelie.

I think this would work. Let me know. I’m keeping my original rim
