That was just Stoner being a smartass and also him pissed that the corner workers didn't help him with his bike.

I raced a zx7r in heavyweight supersport in ccs for a few years in the mid '90s. Really only went to Bridgehampton and Loudon. Lots of fun but too much travel time so I got out of it. I picked up a Ducati 996s a few years back but after roadracing street riding kinda sucks so I sold it. If I ever end up moving close to a track maybe I'll buy another bike again just for track days. For now I'll just play with my car.

Yeah, he looked severely shaken. Lost. I've heard talk on /r/motogp suggesting a concussion, and it sure looked like an accident worthy of one.

He'll be back next race I think, but we'll see. What sucks is I am rooting for him to make his comeback and I feel like he was starting to get into the groove of the bike with all the adjustments HRC made.

Just bad luck on how he slid off the track and tumbled...

Hello exracer, I'm not trying to highjack your thread but I am curious to know if any of you bikers have watched the Isle of Mann TT vids on YouT. or have personally watched live? I haven't watched MotoGP or the superbikes in a couple years since my friend is unable to record it for me. Rossi and the boys are a little hesitant to run the roads on the Isle(no point in getting hurt for very little money and their contracts at stake).

Haven't watched them on YouTube but have watched them on CBS Sports when I had dish. Yeah....I, personally, wouldn't want to run those tracks or even Nurburgring for that matter... Little run-off and that many turns would be hell for me to landmark and find brake markers...I'd be in a tree somewhere...

Those guys are a whole different breed of racer. I’m surprised they can even straddle a bike with balls that big.

Especially when you watch guys like Mark Miller at Macau and they're scraping their shoulders on concrete and Armco... No thanks... I like having run-off like T1 at Blackhawk Farms, once you make it past the ditch you're technically into Wisconsin from IL...

I was big into the Ducati scene in 1995 - 2002.

Got a 1995 916 and added all sorts of carbon and magnesium to it, chipped it, pipes, etc.
It wasn't exceedingly fast but it was really fun!
Did several track days at Streets of Willow and the big track.
Ran the canyons in San Diego County:
    Palomar(fast side)
    Scissors
    Montezuma
    Dudleys
    Mesa Grande
    Lyons Valley
    etc.

The exhaust note on the track was glorious until I attended Laguna Seca WSK and hear those notes and smelled that race gas from Ducati Island (had to show your key or your registration to get on there).

Met King Carl Fogarty, Aaron Slight, Carl Edwards, Ben Bostrom, Chili and a few others.

Bummed about WSK and GP not on cable tv and with kids, the bike got sold to Paul Lima at GP Motorcycles in San Diego.

Man, I might have to hit you up sometime. Riding at the track alone sucks!
