I installed the Amazon actuator and ran the lines and spent the time to make it look nice and everything. I have it all set up to the green and red wires correctly and now no actuator movement and my automatic door locks do not work from the fob and the buttons on each door are non-responsive.
I am a tech savy person so right now I'm pissed my mod's not working. Help me trouble shoot this please!

Right now I put back the wires to oem on the passenger side at the plug and doors still not working the same.

Have you checked all your fuses? I'm not sure what exact kit you purchased off Amazon. Do you have a link? Is your Actuator the same as mine?

Verify all doors are properly closed, each door has a switch that tells the system the door is closed before locking it. (unlock detection sw)

If the entire electrical door lock system is dead then I bet you blew a fuse. I suggest you disconnect the actuator and test it with a 9v battery. There may be a short in the actuator that's blowing a main fuse.

I can't flip the wires to test that if the locks are not even engaging. I have to fix the locks before I can backtrack and problem solve.

You currently have the actuator disconnected from your system correct?

Actuator is currently disconnected. Wiring back to OEM...looking for fuse location (or whatever is causing all my door locks to not work via FOB and door buttons)

OK awesome. Thanks for that. I will get new fuses asap.
When wiring the actuator again I will add an inline fuse. Can I add 2 in line fuses, 1 for each wire? Is there current backflow issue of any kind? If I just add 1 how do i know which line to add it too?

There should be no need for an inline fuse. I'm guessing you got a bad solenoid.

    Sorry to interrupt...

I have an old pop lock installed and it quit working sometime ago (as they apparently tend to do). Would that Amazon actuator just wire right in where the old pop lock actuator is currently? Seems like it would but is that me just wishing for an easy, cheap fix?

I replaced the 20amp Low Profile Mini Fuse on drivers side and all doors are working the way they should. Thank you guys very much.
Now to get my actuator up and working...luckily I bought the pack of 2 actuators for $8 on Amazon so next steps?

Should test the 1st actuator OR swap out to the 2nd one? Test and see if it works.
Kinda thinking an inline fuse will solve my problem even some are saying no need. Still not sure if I should do 2 inline fuses or just one (and then which one red or green?)

    Thanks.

3rd gen Tacoma uses these fuses up front on driver side fuse box.
Low Profile Mini Fuse (not to be confused with the Low Profile Mini Fuse Blades:censored:)

You are adding a solenoid to the circuit, unless you plan on also adding relays to actuate the solenoid there's no need to add a fuse. Also, if you did add a fuse(s), where do you think they'd go?

Finally got around to adding the pop n lock to my truck. Did like some of the other guys and made my own pnp harness. Came out great. Thanks to all that did the research on which connector housings, pins/terminals and such. Working well so far and the noise isn't as loud as some seem to have made it out? Unless I'm just deaf, which is the most likely possibility. Chose to use the top right connector, Blue to Red and Green to Green. I used crimpers similar to the one I have pictured. Just search on Youtube on how to crimp an open barrel terminal. Also, I don't know if anyone has searched but on eBay someone is selling premade harnesses but for the Tundra, so I do not know if it'll fit the Tacoma exactly but that is something to look at for those that don't want to make it.
