The company is actually Falcon Northwest, for those without dyslexia. They have been around since '92 and have developed a legendary reputation with gamers.
https://www.falcon-nw.com/falcon/experience . Will they be around in 10 years? Dunno, but if I'm still around; I'll probably get my next system from them.
There's something really great about having a computer that just works right out of the box, like an Apple product or new cellphone. No loading Windows or hoping the motherboard has the right BIOS for the video card. Falcon actually pre-loaded my games for me so I didn't have to download them again. Not all the games, but big ones like WoW and Star Citizen.
While I love playing with hardware, I also use my home PC to remote into work. If I'm having PC issues that means I can't work from home and have to go into the office. Having a well built, super fast PC with great support allows me more time to do fun things like play with the truck and work on the house. When I feel the need to tear apart a PC, I have two older systems I can use that won't affect my ability to work.
To be honest, I think my PC building skills have become a bit rusty on new technology. When I got my Falcon, I opened it to see if there was any packing inside that needed to be removed. Looking around, I didn't see any packing and also didn't see anything that looked like an SSD. I figured maybe it was hidden off to the side, but I traced all the data cables and found nothing. I started up the PC and it definitely had a drive, so I asked a guy a work that really knows PCs. Turns out the Samsung SSD lives under a heatsink plate on the motherboard. No wonder I didn't find it. I've been playing with computers since 1980, and I couldn't find my primary drive. :anonymous:

Nice , never looked into having one built will have to file it away. As for the drive . Don't feel bad lol I have only been building them since 93 and before I started the research and even when I was done I had no idea what and M2 SSD drive was lol. I do have a question though ...Horde or Alliance ? Lol

Alliance! I do have a few Horde characters, but I found Alliance easier to start and level. I froze my account about 3+ years ago as I got tired of chasing the carrot. It was the Pandas that put me over the edge. Couldn't deal with KungFu pandas in my fantasy world.

Good morning, another day at the zoo been a long one already.

Good eye, yes it is! The pepper kind of overpowers it though.

I don't always use my oven, but when I do it is usually involves baking metal of some type.

    Dickinson Bake.jpg

@Cypherian old fashioned bone and charcoal case color hardening. It is only microns thick so baking on a protective finish. Lacquer is traditional but doesn't last long with handling so trying some newfangled stuff painted on yesterday and last night.

Guess should add clean oven to my to do list :anonymous:

Naugahyde. Where was it invented? Naugatuck, CT along with keds sneakers, agent orange, and all sorts of other stuff thanks to Uniroyal. At one time, youd run down to the Naugatuck river to see what color it was... All that's left is a superfund site.
