Bingo. But, if you keep the carrier bearing and reduce the length of the short shaft by the length of the box, you can have it sitting waiting to go on so you can drive away when you are done then get the front shaft made later.

Another question: for a turd gen is there a solution or concern (long run) for the added torque on the rear axle @BigMike ?

i spoke with currie and its a no go on the rockjock 60 or currie 9 since they were built for the second gens (main issue is the abs system)

    Thanks:thumbsup:

Or you could just have your current shafts lengthened/shortened by a local DS shop. I had mine back in half a day. Plus, I hate the idea of having a one-piece shaft hanging down. I'd destroy it.

I spoke with TW and his suggestion was a one piece shaft and he would be building based on the 1350 (beefier) vs 1310. I guess for what it is because i plan to regear at the same time, so it will already be out of comission so:popcorn:. Part of the feedback is below

How soon after they started accepting orders did you put yours in? I put in my order 6 or 7 hours after they sent out the email notification and I'm still twiddling my thumbs. I called 2 weeks ago and said I was basically at the top of the list but they were waiting on shifters and adapters, they said it might ship last week, however it's been so comically long that the shipping number isn't valid for tracking any more, so I don't even know if I'll receive a notification when it actually ships.

Pretty sure the ABS sensors are identical between the 2nd/3rd gen, I have a 2013 with a Rockjock 60 and don't see any reason I couldn't pull it off and put it on my 2019 and have everything work fine. AFAIK the some of the 3rd gen models use the same axles as some of the 2nd gens

Thanks for the feedback on that, yea he said they would have to look and see as he didnt have a confirmed answer. I was trying to see how much it would cost and when he was doing his thing on the computer and got to the brakes portion and he wasnt sure and not something i guess they looked in to. I saw your build page pretty awesome what you have accomplished.

I put my order in about three beers after I got the email which I believe was in late December. It came in April 10. I also received a tracking number the day after the order was placed which falsely built my hopes up but I understood that the email said they were "beginning to build them again" so I tried to convince myself that it would be soon. I know I can build a tcase in a couple of hours so I thought the lead time was a bit excessive, but it wasnt like I was trying to get it installed for a February trip either.

    Hope you get yours soon!

I ordered on Super Bowl Sunday. I called a couple weeks ago and was told May 31. Still waiting. Need to call them again today.

I just talked to Kyle at Marlin. He said that all of the parts needed to build the Tacobox are now replenished and in stock. Mine should go out by the end of next week.

Did you get yours yet? They told me the same thing, three weeks ago. Should have shipped by now. Going to call today and see what's up. They told me 6 weeks, we are on week 11 now. Nearly double what they quoted.

Meanwhile, my friend @rngr order a TrailGear crawlbox one day after me, got it a week later, installed it, and has wheeled with it already.

Looks like it's going to be at LEAST 8 more weeks while they wait on adapter plates. Ugh.

So the timeline of events are as follows:
    • Was told 6 week lead time when I ordered (March 27th).
    • After 8 weeks, call them. They are waiting on shifter bases. They will be here this week and will ship next week. "Should be at your door early June!", they say. Okay fine, two more weeks.
    • Week 11 (now), call them and now tell me they have to wait on adapter plates and it will be AT LEAST 8 more weeks. So the previous statement was a lie then?

They also say there are people in front of me that they are behind on.

If you are gonna quote me a lead time, it's better to underpromise and overdeliver. I don't know why so many off-road vendors struggle with this.

Now I'm wondering if I'm going to need to give them a new shipping address because I move to a new house in October??? At this point, it seems likely

Definitely give them your new address. Eight weeks out is actually four months.
