Backorder for Bilstein 6112/5160

Has anyone had these purchased recently and actually gotten the parts in the last 6 months?

I ordered these shocks back in December 2018 through my local 4WP store. Initially estimate was January/early February. That turned into April, then May, then June, now late July.

I called and emailed Bilstein directly and they seemed pretty indifferent and said the ETA is what it is. The customer service was pretty disappointing. So back to the question of has anyone actually received these parts recently?

 

I got the 6112s about two weeks ago but the 5160s are back ordered.

It is the driver side 5160 that is on back order - but what they don't tell you is there is no difference in the 5160 driver side and passenger side shock. The driver side kit includes a brake line height riser which attaches to the top of the axle housing. Get two 5160's and go to the auto parts store and get the brake line height adjuster. I called Bilstein to inquire about the Bilstein part and their service person told me this.

I got both my 5160's from 4WheelParts - no delay no issues..

 

I ordered 6112/5160 combo from Wheelers and recieved only 6112. Still no ETA for rears, even though I was told they'd be available in May.

 

I'm still waiting for one of my 5160...not sure what side.

 

Why don't these companies selling them list them as out of stock is a question I have.

I know. That's why I ordered them from someone else, I thought I was smarter than I really am .

 

Wasn't backordered when I ordered from Rogue Off Road.

 

I called today and asked about this. The passenger side 5160 is still on backorder just not as bad as the other but they had an extra in stock so we’re going to try this out this week. Ill update afterwards.
