    I noticed this cover in the back of the glove box. So I removed it only to see a bunch of crap behind there. Anyone know what all that stuff is?

    Access to the hamster wheel that keeps your HVAC blower running. If the blower malfunctions, check for dead hamster.

    Those are mice, but yeah, birds are a pain too. They get into my attic once in a while and just crap all over everything.

    But seriously OP it's you cabin air filter. I love it there, and no tools to open it and replace the filter. Hate some cars you have to take out the whole box, or go behind the center console, PITA.

    The one on our first car with one was under the freaking windshield wiper cowling. That was sorta dumb. Worse, I assumed that was where it was on our other car. I stupidly cracked the windshield while removing the wipers only to find out that it gets flexed in and out under the glovebox.

    Taco = awesome.

    I'm telling you. 2001 Saab 9-3. Generally decent layout of maint stuff, but quirky just because plus the friggin' GM factor.

    The rigid filter needing some flx to go in under the dash was just weird also. They could have dropped it down an inch and been a breeze.

    Many Euro models are done that way. They also tend to have lug bolts, various E-torx fasteners, require you to remove front end to replace a light bulb...

    When I took my 16 Limited in to Toyota for an oil change, they "looked" at my filter and said they think some mice got into mine...so they replaced it.

    I can't believe that Toyota didn't screen the filter area off, couldn't be that hard?
