I recently had an AAL snap on my passenger side leaf and I am now considering two options for fixing it. I currently have a 1.5inch lift in the front with AAL in the rear. I am considering upgrading to the OME EL095R springs instead of just replacing the AAL, but I was wondering if these springs were too high for my truck. I almost never tow or have excessive weight in the rear of the truck, but I do have a heavy front bumper, as well as an, ARE MX topper. I have also seemed to have axel wrap problems with my current setup. My question is, should I just replace the AAL pack and be done with it, or should I upgrade to the OME springs (or will they be too tall)? I was recommended the Skyjacker leaf spring pack, but I haven't heard much about them. Thanks in advance!

I've never ridden in a truck with AAL but I recently upgraded from stock leafs w/1" blocks to the OME Dakars and there is a considerable difference in ride quality. I also had terrible "bro-lean" with the blocks and now the stance is right.20190218_170938.jpg

I’m in a similar situation. My Wheelers AAL snapped before the pin on the passengers side. Getting advice and reading various threads about Dakars, All-Pro’s and Deaver leaf pack options has got my confused. I have a mid travel set-up with King Shocks and the fronts are currently set at about 2”. I would like to achieve the same “leveled” height for the rear. I’m not opposed to possibly cranking the front King’s up half an inch. Anyone have comments or examples to share?

Short 2” lift on the front (Bilstein 6112). OME 95R in the back.

I have the older Dakars with the 3rd leaf removed and they are a significant improvement over stock. As it stands now my truck sits nice and level (I had about 2.5" of lift up front before the front bumper and skid plate went on...probably closer to 2" now but haven't bothered to measure).

It's sagging a bit with a couple hundred lbs of gear in this pic

No extra weight in the bed here (and beget I had the rear bumper installed)
