Smittybilt RTT ship date

Anyone order a Smittybilt RTT from 4WD.com when they were on sale and receive it yet or at least get a ship date? I ordered mine back on 5/9 and havent heard anything...their customer service blows and have been on hold for 20 minutes now

 

Wow I got mine 2 days later.

 

I was told it’s at least mid July before anyone see anything. 4 wheel parts in so cal is the distributor and told me when I ordered mine in May it won’t arrive till then.
So I got my money back and started searching Craigslist and expedition portal for local options. I found a new one for $500 that was a Amazon return with some shipping Damage but all the parts were there. For the little ding on the aluminum top you can’t see and doesn’t effect its function I thought it was a smoking deal. And I have my tent for summer trips.

 

I’d be losing my shit

 

At first they tried saying it was because my ship address didnt match billing. But after a run around with them explaining that i wanted it shipped to my workplace so it wasnt sitting out on my porch waiting to get stolen they switched it over and pushed it through...then they said it was backordered...if it wasnt for the good price and not needing it until august i would have already canceled and ordered it from elsewhere

 

How do you get your ladder to click into place at that height? I struggled to get mine to work at the first nitch

I finally got through to them and I was told the first week of July they should have them. Crappy part is that Im the first person on the back order list which means if i hadnt let it sit for 2 weeks in the "processing" stage before i called and found out that it was because my ship and billing address didnt match i probably wouldnt have been on the back order list and would have gotten it by now. Youd think they wouldnt worry about that stuff since its my banks job to catch fraud not theirs...especially since had i not contacted them, i dont believe they would have contacted me...

 

I ordered mine 5/28 and just got a call that it’s in stock here in Washington

Arent they the same company.

I ordered my from a different distributor that would price match because 4WP told me it would be months before they arrived (That was in early May).

 

I have no clue. And it could be different based on region too. All I know is that they called me this morning and said they had some come in

 

Fingers crossed it is the same company for the other guys in this thread. The RTT is really nice!

 

I have no idea how I lucked out, I never got any tracking info. It was in my driveway with the delivery driver sending me pics of it in my driveway.

 

For those of you who did in store pick up and received your tent already, does it come with U bolts to mount it to bed bars? And will they help me lift it up onto the bed bars at the store? Or do you have to assemble the bottom piece that bolts the tent to the bars?

Basically, can I go pick this damn thing up and put on my bed bars in the parking lot to take it home, or is it on a pallet or something and I have to find a way to get it home?
