    hey guys and gals,

I recently got a set of scs ray 10's which im super stoked on but i'm looking to black out the bolts on the faux beadlock. has anyone powder coated the bolts? if so please share your experience :)

I was also thinking about just buying black bolts and swapping them in, does anyone know the all of the measurements of the bolts in order to do a swap?

Take out a bolt and take it to your local hardware store, Lowes, Home Depot or Fastenal or where ever - someone there should be able to help with the specs or even find you correct black ones.

The bolt size is M6x8 which is a very odd size so you're probably not going to find too replacement many options. Take them off and find a local shop to powder coat them. Add a dab of blue loctite and hand snug them back to about 9-10ft lbs only.

I powder coated mine, I do powder coating is it didn’t cost me anything, but a powder coat shop shouldn’t charge that much to do it.

Would it look like doo-doo if you rattle can the bolts with high heat black paint?

Wish you did these. I love that dark blue I've seen on some of your wheels. Just a little contrast. Local powder coating shop wants $1.95 per bolt head  never had powder coating done but thought that was high. Only chrome on entire exterior including head and tail lights. Lol

That isn’t a bad price, pretty fair actually. There is a lot of prep work when doing powder coating.

Just wasn't prepared to spend $200 to do bolt heads. Lol

We used to offer it, but the process was very time consuming and tedious. I can see why shops will charge $1.20-2.00 a bolt.

Wouldn't be much difference than adding powder coating.
