Yup, I gave the chin spoiler a trim using the molded-in chine line as my cut-line "just because it was there."

The next day I decided to trim off another 1/2" of material off the bottom of the air dam on the Tacoma, which also allowed me to get a much cleaner cut line for a professional, factory-looking final product. After trimming the part and filing down the new bottom edge I gave it a coat of bed liner paint, let it dry and then put it back on the truck. And, if I do say so, I think it looks great!

Better than the original, but also better than simply removing it and having to look at "stuff" under the front of the truck that really needed to be covered by some type of valance panel. Again, I'm really, really happy with this little change.

Mine has been permanently attached to my garage ceiling I-beam for a couple of years. Had plans to cut it. Also had plans to paint up my stock sport grille. Both now have 2 years of cob webs on them.

I took mine off last week and similar feelings. I like it off but I also don’t like seeing everything underneath. How much did you trim off? Did you measure from top or bottom?

So you use the mold line then cut another 1/2”?

It looked OK, but still seemed a bit longer than it needed to be to hide the front cross beam on the truck. I used green painter's trim tape to put down a second cut line where the final bottom edge of the air deflector now measures 4" from the upper part of the air deflector using a metal ruler (straight line) as shown. The ends were cut to follow the line of the front edge of the wheel well.

Installed my Magnaflow CAT back today. Being the long bed, it includes the resonator which "tunes" the sound perfectly. Some "throat" some "hum" but not drone, and some "guttural yah this thing rocks" sounds without the 4bangercivicsoundslikeshit undertones.

I tried to record the sounds at different RPMs but that has to be done under load and at speed, so I have to figure out a remote mic that avoids the wind noise.

I like how the tail pipe is flush with the body so it doesn't look like a dodge ram asswipe.
I like how everything tucks in under the body tight, so nothing hangs lower than factory other than the tip of the tip, and I love how it sounds.

Does this give the possibility of having moisture appear in the headlight assembly? I know there’s moisture in my tail lights of my work car where they added flashing lights to it and that always made me wonder.

Looks pretty good but why not just add a TRD skid plate. That hides all of the front underbelly and helps smooth out airflow under the truck. Of course there's the $$ involved in that so if you're on a tight budget I can appreciate that.
