Brittle Wiring Harness Cover Under Plenum

    Looks like some 4Runners have figured out using F4 Silicone tape for the brittle wiring harness. Mine is breaking up. Looks like I bought the same material -- though in black.

    While that looks good what is wrong with normal split loom

    If you figure to never remove the tape it looks like it might be interesting

    What split loom? One left the building before I got it. LOL

    The other had roughly 1/2 remaining that wasn't shattered.

    It is a plastic or nylon flexible conduit with a split down the center comes in a few colors .

    Some call it Corrugated slit sleeving

    I buy it by the 100' roll I go through quite a lot you can get all different diameters

    I'm using some of the original that is in good condition.

    I did the same on the drivers side of my wiring harness where the plastic was completely cracked and broken.
    I think the heat from the supercharger helped destroyed the plastic faster and made it crack every where. My passenger side is still ok except the hold down tabs
    both being broken.

    It is the thermal cycling over the years that does in most things.

    Winter is the worst with the wide temperature swings .
