honestly, set your side mirrors correctly and you’ll never use the center rear view. having the shell on mine is a nonissue, factory tinted rear glass, tinted rear glass on the shell, it’s useable daytime but useless at night. spot mirrors in the corner of side views and you’re golden.

the side windows on a shell are decoration and viewing inside, useless to see out of going down the road.

Then again, i drive a service van with no side windows and a divider that blocks rear view. so situation normal for me.

My rear is 75% blocked by my spare on the swingout. I got blind spot mirrors now to help.

I’ve been thinking about removing mine altogether. The rack/gear/tire it’s near useless and now with the softopper f’it. Use the power for something more useful and get better sightlines

I contemplate taking my swing out off, but man that’s a bitch removing it and putting it back on by yourself.

I’m just going to find a way to mount my tiny ass phone there and feed it power. Removing the swing out isn’t an option lol.

Just get the anytimecamera mod thingy. That’s what I’m gonna do and add a front camera while I’m at it.

Edit - I see what your saying now. I need mine for the Homelink garage door opener

Just turn the mirrors out. No issues with blindspots on mine with the exception of backing out of parking spots.

Also rear window visibility is fine during the day, and you can see headlights just fine at night but definitely not enough to backup with.

I love having mine. If you're in the market for bed coverage, it is a strong contender. Only other option is consider is tonneau cover but having full height storage with versatility is great.

That for sale you posted looks nice. I'd talk him down. That's pretty close to new prices. I paid $250 for mine but it's probably a few years older than that one.

So im actually about to purchase one but in black.. I've had one before.. it is something to get used to but if you use your back up camera and side mirrors, it's not bad... You are able to see out the back window.. but if it's raining... Forget it.
