Wanted to pick one up for no other reason than washing the Tacoma. Any recommendations?

I was literally about to make a post for this. I want one that can do the foam blasting thing or whatever it’s called.

They make foam blasters for regular garden hoses too.

I kind of felt stupid for posting. But figured this would be the best place to get a standard one that won't strip off all the paint. Lol.

So yeah... I don't even have a garden hose. List of things I need to get around to.

I'd get you a garden hose before you look for a power washer.

Will come in handy to feed the power washer.

I recently bought a Mi T M commercial power washer and I'm loving it. It has the Honda commercial gas engine and plenty of power. Quick connect hose and no flat tires.

One like this with an AR pump? I've had one for over 10 years. Sears sold these branded as a Craftsman at 3,000 PSI. They had a sale price at $399. Couldn't pass it up.

Just be careful with a pressure washer if you're going to use it on your truck paint. You can actually push really fine pieces of dirt and debris into automotive paint and Toyota's is fairly soft. Just use low pressure. I only foam and hand wash but pressure was the bed and underside every once in awhile.

That's it. I looked at mine again and it's only a 3,000 model. Sometime when you really need to get down on something like a sandblaster, get a turbo attachment. You can bore holes in wood and concrete with one of those. Don't use it on brick. It will blow away the concrete between the bricks.

Same here. The foam dispenser works on the lowest pressure setting that's about like a car wash. I use it for under the car and wheel wells.

Any cheap electric pressure washer will have decent enough PSI to wash a car. Try to opt for GPM over PSI when comparing models. What sucks about the cheap electrics is the hose, gun and wand are generally shit. Upgraded hose (longer go for 50' min, wont kink to shit) and gun will be more expensive than the whole setup but is worth it and will outlast cheap or expensive pump units. Many of the cheap brands will need adapters to work with decent hose/gun (MTM, Mosmatic etc). I think Ryobi and Greenworks are two brands that adapt right over to a decent hose. Obsessed Garage on youtube has some videos of the common models.

Some foam cannons will require you to swap out to the smaller orifice if using one of these cheap electrics. A gas machine would want the larger orifice. Obsessed has this on his website I believe. He will have the adapters if you've already got a SunJoe or other model that need adapters.

That would be a foam gun where as pressure washer is a foam cannon. Cannon will make way more suds versus the gun.

I saved up and looked at bunch of these for years. No riches here .I paid more to get a unit that lasts instead of a disposable plastic unit that is a piece of crap from the start. I'm a firm believer in buy once cry once. Besides I'm rocking a 16 Taco Mr .2019.

If you are wanting to get a foam cannon many of them require over 2.0gpm on a pressure washer.

I’m a fan of gas. Electric is just a PITA. But either works just pay attention to the GPM. I’m finding this typically means buying medium duty pressure washer or higher.

    Gas or electric?
Get at least 1.6 GPM and 1200 PSI
For the price ryobi makes a good gas unit and Kärcher for electric.
Get the $20 MATCC (or something like that) amazin foam cannon, you may need a special adapter for your brand powerwasher.
    For a hose, I can't believe you don't have a hose lol, I LOVE my Zero-G hose. So much so, I have 2, 50ft and 100ft.
You will also need some decent car wash products, 2 buckets and 2 grit guards, and a bunch of wash mitts.

I have a karcher electric and its perfect for car washes and small projects.

For the foam gun. Chemical guys maxisuds2 is a great and inexpensive soap. An once or 2 added to the foam dispenser that you've prefilled with hot water will foam up like crazy.
