Favorite Whiskey?

You use an eyedropper for the last bit?!?! You're pushing the surface tension to the limits.

I'm getting prepped for a Whiskey Club gathering tomorrow evening. Bottles to bring home samples, water, glasses etched by @Kanyon71 , and two of the four whiskies we're having.





We're doing whisky from four different countries. I picked out two of them. The other two will be a surprise to me.

For the two I picked, I got Kavalan Distillery Select and Westland Garryana 3-1.

I've seen the Ka Va Lan in the store - not sure how many Taiwanese whiskies are out there, but I'd guess not much. Let us know how you like it.

I got to try the rest of the Westland line up about 5 years ago and there garyana was all the guy could talk about. I didn't know as much as I do now, wish I had picked up a bottle. But then again, probably couldn't have appreciated it like I could now. Jealous, can't wait to hear you report back

 

also... what is this Jack Daniels table you got going on?!

 

Not sure that using your Glencairn that way will offer any advantages over a rocks glass...

I will be utilizing the glass as intended going forward. until the day it gets filled with freezer Pappy and taken like a shot... (another reference to earlier convo)(and a terrible idea to set the internet on fire )

 

You could buy Dalmore 64 Trinitas and do shots of it. Maybe even get a can pressurize it and shotgun it.

 

I have three of them! The placards are interchangeable and reversible. Single Barrel, Gentleman Jack, No. 7, and one that is a wall of Jack Daniels text. I use them as end tables. The wife bought them for me a couple years back .

What sort of peckerhead would keep Van Winkle in the freezer, then shoot it? Some people...

People are pretending like previous valuations are null and void now. Huge jump on some stuff. I'm still sitting on a belle meade honey. Waiting for the right time to move that one...

that one has had valuations move a lot. was up to 850 pre crash, then in the apocalypse moments, people moved them at 650-700... waiting for the climb again if it happens
