It's well worth a month of HBO to binge. Scary as hell because most of that is relatively factual.

The scariest part is that the soviet mindset depicted in that show is very real to this day and applies to a lot of other scary things. Like a crapload of Russian subs with deteriorating reactors not to mention the missiles aboard. Safety oversights and corruption are deep.

There was a big to-do back in the late 90s or early 2000s when a pair of FBI agents contacted the Russian mob trying to buy black market small arms, and at some point, for the price of 16 million they were willing to sell a 971 Akula attack submarine. For an extra $40M, they were willing to sell it with a full stock of torpedos and cruise missiles.

 

Not gonna lie, if and when I build up an LT Tundra, I'm SO doing that!
