@RyanL BEHOLD! My lawn doesn't look like a degenerate anymore! ...just don't look over the back fence :anonymous:

Took me 3 hours of mowing, edging, and sweeping to get it looking proper again, but it turned out great. Now to eradicate all the growth in the driveway cracks, then to tackle the Serengeti in the backyard.

I can't wait to get into a house so I can do yardwork again. Is it weird that I miss it?

I worked for a landscaping company in HS and mowed lawns for pocket change on the side in HS. I LOATHED mowing the lawn.

Now that I have my own lawn, it def has a different context and I enjoyed it last night. Something about coming home from a long day of tricky accounting and plant management decisions to a simple "I mindlessly go back and forth across my lawn with immediate results" that is hella cathartic.

    THIS.

I take pride in it. No complaints. Noise cancelling headphones on and go. Kinda like the gym is to me too. Friends buying a house for the first time or from apartment to house and complain about mowing the lawn. The latter couple bought a mower and the husband forgot oil. Seized the motor after owning it for 20 minutes.

My across the street and next door neighbor went horizontal stripes. So naturally I had to match. And you can drink beer whilst mowing!

HAHA. It happens more than you think. Had a friend that did the exact same thing, didn't know any better, boxed it up and returned it to Home Depot thinking it broke. They warrantied it and everything then called me to help on mower #2.

Yeah, the sellers def didn't take pride in it. They kept it watered and trimmed, but the edging was all messed up. I'll prob have to go back today and touch up a few spots. I wanted to do it last night, but it was 845 and I didn't wanna become "that guy"...at least in the first week I live here.

I love doing opposing diagonals each week so it looks like cross stitching. Looks so good...

Looks good @Gunshot-6A! All these years I never thought about why I was so satisfied after trimming & mowing, and you just laid it out right there.

I know a farmer with a hay bailer when you're ready to do the back 40 ...
