This is my “like” without “liking” it. Sometimes work happens. Hope you’re feeling better.

Any chance you can scout out a few trails and report back if anything is open?

We’re taking the Outback but Ill check out as much as I can. Text me any specific requests. If nothing else, I can talk to the local forestry service and get the inside scoop.

Let me know if there’s any specific trails, i’ve got a buddy that lives down there. I can ask...since John is driving the hippy car and not the Taco

We’ve never taken it on a trip further than the grocery store (together) because I’d just rather drive my truck. For this trip, I’m ok with it. Plus, I was kind of hard on the ole taco last weekend and I would like to give it a once over before I head 6 hours down the road. We are staying at a cabin and will be totally consumed by a music schedule that will require all my energy to keep up with. This will eliminate the stress of trying to squeeze in a wheeling trip when I just don’t have time.

That will include 4th of July weekend so the chances are high there will be a ride (or as people here call it, a wheeling trip). Check back in on this thread closer to then and see whats going on.

Most of us hope to as well, problem is Mother Nature left so much white stuff that little trail wise is open yet.

That's what I've seen also on the trail maps. Unfortunately I can't push my trip back again due to work picking up for summer months.

Moab is 5 hours away from Denver and for sure no Snow issues there, just getting into the hot as hell phase.

Man, where is the guy on here for TO? There is at least one conflicting report (Crystal City/ Mine) and some counties have announced trails that will not be opened in 2019 (Pearl Pass comes to mind) due to avalanche carnage and lack of resources to fix it.

Heck, Lake City is under a severe flood threat not to mention already has CO diaster declaration (http://www.coemergency.com/2019/05/colorado-state-emergency-operations.html) and very little of Alpine Loop is "open", there is "uncountable" avalanche fields covering what they have been able to drone over.

As much as i would love to go to Moab, thats an extra 5 hours on top of my 14 hour drive already hahah.

Sounds to me like I may be wasting my time coming to CO tho
