Pull codes next time. If it’s p2119, @Cav_BluTRD had that happen on his truck. Dealer replaced some parts and everything’s been good since.

Did you read the codes before you reflashed?

I didn’t pull the code. Is that possible through flash manager or tech stream?

    Techstream can pull it

I’ll make sure and do that next time. The TSS recall wouldn’t have anything to do with it would it? I haven’t had my done.

"read dtc" in flash utility can check codes.

I believe the TSS recall can also put the truck into limp mode

I had something similar happen to me on my ‘19. The code it threw was P211904 which is the Throttle Actuator. Dealer replaced said part and all is good so far.

That’s the thing @Cav_BluTRD had replaced on his. It was real fun going into limp mode 3 hours into the trail.

We cleared codes and disconnected TSS sensor in grill and were able to get back to normal. YMMV but that worked for us and kept from having to get towed.

Did the TSS recall take care of this?

Do flash manager need internet connection to flash? I’m planning on taking my laptop everywhere I go just Incase it throws the code again.

There’s two separate issues that cause similar issues. The TSS recall which is a problem with the sensor and the other is failing throttle actuator.

Both cause truck to go into limp mode

I do, I’ll just have to do the initial flash process.

The noticed states the dash will say “pre-collision malfunction” if it’s the TSS. Mine said Brake override malfunction which seems more associated with the throttle actuator

Quick question, I am going to re-flash my taco to 91 Performance 1.05 not the 1.05.1 since I do not have any shutter issues. My question is do i still need to clear all the values after i've done it?

Flash Manager does not need an internet connection to flash, only to download the tune files.

That could be. I’m pretty sure they will both put the truck into limp mode. I have a 17 so I don’t have any of that BS
