    Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had recommendations on an affordable lift / suspension set up that will accommodate slightly larger tires without voiding the warranty or requiring a diff drop or spedo tune. I can spend about 1000.00. Truck is currently stock TRD OR.

I was thinking for kinda both. I like the look of the slightly lifted with the bigger tires and both will help with off road performance if done correctly.

A simple 2" lift with some 33s would be perfect for you. It's also cheaper. You won't need upper control arms for the lift (in 90% of the cases) and 33s are generally cheap.

Thanks! Plans are kinda fluid. I love to offroad and camp. My budget however is pretty small as I have a family and we are on a fixed income. Id love to make it a bit more offroad capable and make it look larger and more aggressive.

You could go with Bilsteins or Old Man Emu for lift. You can keep it pretty cheap that way. Search for Bilstein lifts for your truck and get the learning on.

Can you recommend a quality 2" Lift for around 1000.00 installed? Ive looked at Fox, King, and OME and they are all crazy expensive. And when you refer to 2" lift, are you refering to a body lift, leveling, or suspension lift?

I have the OEM Bilstiens on the truck now since it is a TRD OR. Are the 5100s really a worthy upgrade? I am new to this.

No need to change coils or springs?

I didn't. I adjusted these to the 2nd notch using the factory coils and the rear is stock. You could do a 1/2" or 1" block in the rear with no concerns really. They have 5 notches up front to adjust up to 2 or 3", but if you go that way, I'd get new coils because it'll ride harsh.

So you only put the 5100s on the front? Trying to decide what route I want to take..

Did you notice any ride improvement?

I put them all around, but only the front are adjustable. I only put them on the 2nd notch. To me it rides better and doesn't float as much. I'm happy I didn't shell out cash for Pro shocks.

For no more than what they cost, just do the fronts for a couple hundred. If you don't like them, then you'll have to get ADS or Kings, because everything else in between is just a waste in my opinion.

I had 5100's in a box for 3 years while I sorted out what I wanted to do. I saved and had the money to buy kings. Last week had my tires rotated and needed to get an alignment, so it was the perfect opportunity to put them on. Since I had them, I went ahead and did it because I didn't have anything to lose and figured I'd just upgrade if I didn't like them. Turns out, I love them and can spend that money on something else now.

Lift won’t help clear bigger tires. It will just not rub as much at ride height. The instant you compress your suspension it will still rub on what ever it did.
