Just noticed you were 3rd Gen! The mod hasn't been successful on 3rd Gen yet as they don't have the plug and play Alt-S circuit. On 3rd Gen the alternator is ECU controlled. Meaning instead, you likely have to install a fuse holder with the booster inline to the ECU's voltage sensor wire to the alternator.

I've read this thread and been lurking it for a solution to the 3rd Gen issue you mentioned above. Did anyone ever locate that sensor wire and splice in the booster?

My understanding was it is 17 and up. I need to move a bunch of wiring to get to my fuse box so I guess I'll find out soon enough!

Dang, I had two different people tell me 2016 was good for alt s fuse. Should have torn my electrical down sooner, you guys are right.

(SOLD) I guess I have a mk3 .5v booster for sale. $50 plus shipping to you (I'll eat the shipping from Australia). PM me.

I thought someone said the 2016's were safe. 2017 and on don't have the fuse we need to replace.

My fuse box does not have an alt s from what I could see. No 7.5 amp fuses at all.

My 2016 MT does not have it, and a friend’s 2016 AT also doesn’t.

I dont see why 2016 would have it if its a newer generation star year.

Initial confusion was from the manufacture saying it didn’t work in 2017+, but they don’t have Tacomas in Australia and couldn’t verify 2016. We figured out a while ago the 16s setup was the same as 17 (logical).

Welp, my 3rd gen testing is on hold. I've been on vacation for a few weeks, got back hoping the booster from our Ausi brothers would be here, and apparently it has been stuck in LA for the past month at a USPS facility... USPS has no idea where it went. Contacted seller and they refunded my money instead of sending another. Now i'm debating if I should order another unit or whip something up on my own.

I posted all the schematics and diagnostic info needed a few pages back if anyone gets froggy in the meantime. One concern I do have is the generators specified condition is 11-14vdc. I'm worried that if I am able to trick it into pumping out a constant ~14.6, the ECU may throw a code due to the generator being out of its specified condition range.
