    I did a nice weld!!

Got the frame sections cut off and fully welded, and I fish plated some of the passenger side. Making these fish plates is so satisfying.

I’m going to wait to fish plate the drivers side until I know where the steering box mounts have to go. Hopefully I’ll be able to get these rails tacked in nice and square tomorrow. And begin some plating.

Building the steering box mount is a royal pain in the ass, it took me like 4 days. Build it like 5x's beefier than you think it needs to be. What box you going with? The frame rails are weird to weld in, weld the outside on first, then the inside of the rails so when the weld cools it pulls it back straight.

I got a Toyota box built by PSC. I figure as long as it’s square, that’s all I really need. I can add a bunch of nice plate to keep itvrigid. I’ll make sure to make it extra beef on the steering box side. I’m doing hydro assist so that should take some pressure off the frame
