Full speaker replacement with Fosgate!

I wasn’t suggesting you couldn’t use either or. Just that they are “different” speakers” at least different pert numbers between the two tweeters.

A week too late. Mine were sitting in the garage for the past few weeks til we did a Goodwill run last weekend.

 

Tweeters are fine. Just need the speaker

 

Need to match the ohms afaik. The system won't work if the amp detects a speaker that doesn't match.

 

Okay guess I’ll need to pull my panel and see what’s in there. I have tweeters in the rear door and the truck when I bought it had a jankily wired (but nice parts) full system with deck, 2 amps and subs... I replaced the deck with a 2014 stock unit, got an LC7i and fixed all the hanky wiring but never bothered with the doors but I know they’ve been messed with

 

Wait so you don't have the jbl? It's been replaced?

 

Truck never had JBL. When I got it, it had a Kenwood Deck (which i hated and replaced with stock 2014 head-unit). Nice alpine amps under each seat (which are now connected to my radio via a LC7i) and 2 10” subs behind the rear seats. I know the door speakers have been messed with because there are tweeters in the rear doors) but I never bothered to pull the door skins. Now my driver door speaker (not the tweeter) is shot

 

Ahhh well then if you don't have the factory jbl amp still you should be fine. I've been wanting to upgrade my speakers but everything I've read is that the jbl amp is picky, and also there isn't normal Speaker wiring ran to each speaker from the center console, it's all from the amp which makes it a pita.

 

2nd Gen/3rd Gen problems....

 

I am surprised no one is doing that this year. I believe they did last year and 3 years ago when I went I met everybody over there. I'm coming from the east side so no convoy for me. I'm going to camp in the quiet section but I'll definitely hang out and visit the not so quiet section!

 

Depending on when I get this fucking bumper finished, I might be down.

Also, where should the license plate go? There's not enough room between the receiver and the tailgate.

Looks like the tailgate might be the only option.
French it in there but make sure its at an angle!

Seriously though, is it possible to have a bracket come out just under the tailgate latch handle?
