I believe anything greater than12% including the rebate is good. Also include hidden stealer fees, tint, dealer added crap into the figures. You shouldn’t have to pay for any of it.

Is that the only place in Portland that has the truck you're looking for? They seemed a little bait-and-switchy from my minimal interaction with them. Dealerships a little south of Portland quoted my better pricing than anything in the city.

Thanks for that info! [Toyota of Gladstone] sent me a screenshot of what they're claiming to be their current inventory, but when I compare the VIN's & stock numbers against what is showing on their website, only one of those vehicles match. I wonder if this is some of the same bait-and-switchy you mentioned.

I just began my truck search in the last few days. USAA connected me with 3 dealerships; Royal Moore in Hillsboro, Broadway Toyota in Portland, and Toyota of Gladstone. I'll definitely broaden my search.

I've already obtained financing through USAA, but a local credit union gave me a MUCH lower rate... Plus, my insurance is ready to go, for when I do pull the trigger.

I bought a Tacoma last week in Victoria B.C. and the truck that I bought was off the showroom floor and did not even show up on the dealer's website online inventory. My point being that there is a good possibility that online dealer website inventories are not kept up to date the same way that their company's own computer inventory would be updated.

Sweet truck. That seems like a pretty good deal. What dealership did you get from?

What’s the MSRP. I was waiting for 2020 Pro, but last week pulled the trigger on 19 voodoo blue Pro. $2,500 off MSRP plus free tinted windows and black decals “Toyota” on rear bed.

Can anyone speak to the validity of whether buying at the very end of the month brings lower prices?
I've long heard that that's the case, because the dealership has to move a certain number of cars, every month, to get the manufacturer's bonuses--which are supposed to be quite substantial.

    Thanks.

Went to my local dealer and looked at a 2019 dcsb trd offroad. Online price was 38 advertised, they gave me their msrp as 46, and they wanted 42 out the door. When I looked at the truck on the inventory search on the main Toyota site, it lists the "as built price as 41" why is there a 5k difference between the MSRP on Toyotas site compared to the dealership?

First time dealing with a dealership. I just sold my 91 Nissan skyline today and have had my eye on this truck for awhile now. The truck had 8 miles on the odometer, so before I test drove it today is probably been test driven once, maybe twice and it has been sitting there for over 43 days now. Apparently no one wants the manuals. Can I use that as bargaining chip?

    Options listed:
    Premium Package$2,060
    16" All-Terrain Tire Upgrade$799
    Technology Package$770
    TOYOGUARD(R) Platinum$699
    Predator Pro Step Bar$689
    Roof Rack$399
    Phone Cable & Charge Package$69

I have 3 different sales people, and a "manager" from the same dealership hounding me... To me, that is a good indicator that the dealership hasn't reached their monthly &/or quarterly quota.

Thank you for that information! I'm going to have to lower my already low offer.

Check the numbers on Edmunds.com, for your area. I tried running your options & numbers, but they must be regional items, because I wasn't finding most of them on the toyota website.

But your add-ons total almost $5,500

I understand, but look at this. 35 starting, 5.5k options, msrp as built 41.

sounds like a lot of options and upgrades, go with what you think your budget can stand. I personally wouldnt get all that shit lol. Ask for invoice, it will break it down for you. A lot of people dont ask for invoice enough or have experience dealing with dealerships so they try and manipulate and get the most profit.

Yes, but what I am saying is that the MSRP WITH everything should be 41k, but the dealers "market value" selling price is 5 Grand over the MSRP. The truck has been sitting for 44 days, clearly they are struggling to sell it. I keep hearing stories in this thread of people getting these for under MSRP.
