What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Took her to Old Coast Road in Big Sur after work to decompress. Didn’t se one person out there the entire trip! Nice and peaceful!

 

Could you go through? I want to drive it but have been hearing it might be closed.

It was open all the way through! They finally cleared the downed trees! My only concern was due to the rains exposing a lot of shale in some areas; could ruin your day with a flat or two! Other than that it was nice to get away from the regular hustle and bustle of people. Are you in Monterey?
BTW..checked Monterey County road closures for highway 1 and Big Sur and they only showed Palo Colorado Canyon Road being closed!

Got rid of the chrome on the grill with the SR black trim, Looks way better now.

 

No problem! I’ve driven this trail several times and it never gets old! Amazing views and saw a roadrunner with a bunch of little ones today and a bunch of wild turkeys and even some cows along the way! When we reach the south end where it connects back to highway 1 we can head south and grab some lunch and a beer then head back afterwards and do it again heading north which IMHO is even better!

I believe the sensor is on the right side and helps with the auto dimming headlights. I'm not sure if it does anything else. Others can chime in with more detail. But, I think it's the oval thing you see in the below photo.

Hi guys, so I installed the 12 Volt Solutions Remote Start on my Taco today. Installation was simple and a breeze, and it will start the engine when you press the lock of the smart key 3 times. But when you open the truck door, the engine automatically turns off! My purpose of getting this is to warm up the engine of my truck every morning when I am leaving for work, but with the engine turning off when I get inside the truck, it means I need to turn it on again myself. Are any of you guys familiar with this? Is this really how they designed it to be? Or is there any way to bypass that function? Many thanks!

 

Unfortunately camping is not allowed. Their are residences along the road as well as U.S. Government fences along the creeks.

 

That’s how it was designed. No bypass. Figure it out and you could be a millionaire!
