‘Healthy’ cake. Not the best. Not the worst. Banana is over powering but it helps the chocolate addiction lol.

It’s like a vegan chocolate cake recipe I found on IG.

It’s not terrible but it is weird lol.

Chocolate is one thing I haven’t been able to kick nor will I kick. No matter what lol. It’s like my version of a fresh IPA (or whatever beer you drink)

I’ll buy a hersheys bar. Take a bite and throw the rest away. Same with M&M’s and other sweets.

Wanted to give this a shot to see how it was. eh. It’s a 5-6/10 IMO. But i used dark chocolate coco powder and dark chocolate chips. Regular chocolate might taste better but I still tried to be a tad healthy lol

Damn, I wish I could take a bite and throw it away. It’s more like take a bite, and then go grab 6 more at the gas station on the way home while I fill the Taco up

Weird stares from the workers there when it’s 11pm..

I’m a binge eater but I know I wanted this diet to last forever.

I love junk food. It just taste good to me lol. So the only way to make this diet last was to figure out a system.

Buy a bag chips, eat a couple and throw the rest away. It’s wasteful yes but it works and keeps my soul happy. I may get hungry but my ass ain’t climbing in the trash can to dig it back out once it’s in lmao.

Also. Trying the whole “eat only when hungry” thing. It’s weird.

I’m assuming you like sweeter chocolate but I like unsweetened dark chocolate if I need something sweet. I’m not a huge sweets person but I do like deep bitter chocolate.

Alcohol is my only real vice. And even then its not bad because its easy to fit a beer in your diet when on average they are about 150 cals.
Its harder to fit in a chocolate cake lol

I really could give up everything else. Maybe I’ve just done without so long I’ve gotten over it or I’m lucky. I don’t deal with cravings.

I think its because I hate how I feel after so 99% of the time it kills it for me.

MAJOR sweet tooth. Hence why donuts and cake are hella hard for me to turn down but I’ve done the same thing with donuts. One bite. Trash

I’m in a weird spot with my diet lately but I’m just chilling and listening to y’all and learning new stuff to try.

How often do you recommend running? Every other day? Every day? Abs one day and run the other? I’m trying to change up my workout some to maybe get my metabolism burning a little better.

I think it depends on your personal goals with running. The better you want to be the more it will take over your routine.

Good rules of thumb to avoid injury are not to increase total weekly miles by more than 10% per week. And once you start running more miles (I’d say about 10 or more per week), no more than about 30% of your miles should be run in one day.

I’m trying to work on my 5k time and its harder than hell to do with lifting. I am not doing well running only 3 days per week.

Do it as much as you enjoy it but just keep those rules of thumb in mind if you want to start upping the miles.

If the goal is weightloss I’d go more HIIT, workouts than only LSD (long slow distance) running. LSD is a shitty way to burn calories. Its a great activity if you enjoy it but there are more efficient ways to up your metabolism.

Hey if it works it works! Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses and knows how to deal with them.

To me it’s weird that guys here actually stuff food down their throat when they’re not hungry because the clock says its been 2 hours lol - and then they have the audacity to mention stomach issues and bad digestion. Makes me laugh, because that kind of force feeding is exactly what causes gut issues and impedes muscle growth because your entire system is so bogged down from dumb eating habits. When you’re actually hungry, you’ll notice how well your food digests and how quickly you’re hungry again (if you don’t stuff yourself full) - there’s a reason for this.. you may only be hungry for a small amount of calories at first, but when your system aligns and you start doing everything right - you’ll be truly hungry much more often and the calorie intake will go up on its own if your diet is right for you digestion wise. It takes some time to experiment with foods to see which digest the best for you and allow you to be hungry again soon.

The problem is, guys who force feed are so afraid to put the fork down because god forbid they loose 5lbs of water weight or finally shit out all that undigested food lol. You’re not going to lose muscle over night, and your digestion will thank you - you’ll feel better, mood will be better, and workouts will be better too. I mean, I’m on hormones and I still won’t force food, so how you natural guys think all this food magically turns into muscle without an enhanced hormonal environment is beyond me.. it won’t my dudes.

As I’ve said numerous times now - if you’re only hungry for 3 small meals per day and can’t gain weight because of it - SOMETHING IS WRONG with your hormones, diet, gut health, training, etc - maybe even all of them and your body is letting you know. Forcing food on top of that will do absolutely nothing for you other than fuck your stomach up, put body fat on you, and make the scale read whatever bullshit number makes you feel “big” when you look down lol.

Ask me how I know! Drank the same goddamn coolaid for years and thought I was a “hardgainer.”

Save yourself years of hassle guys, I would’ve KILLED to have this info 5-6 years ago!

Hey, I have gut issues because of a diagnosed medical condition. I do my very best to deal with that.

Eating 5-6 small meals per day helps me. Becoming unintentional about my eating has only led me to poor results in regards to fitness and physique. It also leads to worse gut issues.

Eating the way I do has drastically improved my health.

I like my schedule and small meals. Hopefully you don’t include me in the force feeding group.

I think you are right in terms of only eating to hit a caloric point because some magic formula says maint cals + 500 cals = gains. But if you are losing weight when you are supposed to be bulking... well somethings gotta change.

It takes a lot of experience to get tuned into what works well for you.

Me, I have to be intentional, or I spin my wheels. And yes some days that means setting a timer.

Hey @PackCon I know I ask a lot but I need some running advice again

    Hydration

How do you stay hydrated? Camel back? Stop for water along your route? Just carry a water bottle? I was doing good this morning but honestly just got thirsty as heck and lost my motivation/energy.

Sucky part about running before work ... you HAVE to get back to your rig somehow lol so that motivated me for a bit. Got straight up wore out and legs were on fire. So I walked the rest

Total of 4.75 miles and Fitbit shows 775 calories.

This breakfast taco is gonna be goooooooood lmao

On one trail I used to run they had water fountains and bathrooms spread out. So I never carried much.
On another I would stash a bottle of water or my homemade sports drink in the bushes or in tall grass along the path. This of course really only works if you double back to that spot when you need to.

On runs 5-6 miles or less I didn’t really drink much. I never wanted to carry crap with me lol.
