Had some help from the in-law with the install. It’s awesome.

Figure it out, and somebody else can take your truck off your hands! Any reason why you are so lazy that you can't press the start button yourself once you're in the truck? Not to be an ass, but I prefer my remote start to disable when the door is open. I know the door is locked, but last I checked, thieves don't give one single fuck about pesky little locks.
It really isn't that big of an inconvenience to press the little start button one more time, IMO. First world problems, huh?
At least the truck has been pre heated/cooled.

One of my other hobbies is I built my house. One long weekend I installed several large beams and trusses and had my wife run the overhead winch while I jimmied them into position. Ever since she’s been my “winch wench”!

27 years of marriage, I know my place but she puts up with me anyway.

Looks nice, what are the grill lights and where'd you get them? Those look better than the ones I have seen locally.

I personally enjoyed the description under the headlights, especially the part that reads "Be part of a new culture that’s getting stronger every night"...dafuq does that even mean?

It's a very real question. Having it shut off cold only to start it up again adds tons of unneeded wear to the engine. There are plenty of factory setups that stay running. Your steering column and shifter are still locked, and any attempt to break in and drive it should shut it off and trip the alarm. This can be done.

It's not being lazy, it's wanting to improve on a great idea.

Nice. I had that type on my last truck/set up and decided to try the manual on-off instead of the auto on with hood opening. My reasoning on that is many times I don't need the light like when the truck is in bright sun light. Plus it's like the refrigerator light... is it really off?:D

I don't think that is for auto dimming lights. It's the space a sensor would go if you have auto on/off headlights. That is ones that turn on automatically at a certain ambient light level and off when it gets brighter again. My wife's Avalon has that and it sticks up further. I think that is available on the premium tech version.

@LTG4087 is correct this is the sensor location for the auto on/off headlights. I have a 2017 Limited, it has auto on/off headlights but does NOT have auto dimming headlights as it was not offered yet in 2017. My truck has a small domed sensor in the passenger speaker grill. I can "trick" the Taco into thinking it is dark outside and it will turn on the headlights if the sensor is covered.

Kinda mind-boggling how offended some people get over someone they've never met trying to perfect something to their liking.

    1. As I mentioned, I purchased this to warm up my truck's engine every morning as I leave home from work. My truck is parked in the garage and in a secured gated complex. I do not plan on turning the auto start in public places.

    2. I am not lazy, if I was I will not get a work truck and would have just got an auto-pilot vehicle instead.

    3. The reason I am asking this is because I know if every morning now I have to turn on the engine twice it will depreciate the starter and ignition coil eventually.

    4. If thieves drive our trucks without the key, won't it indicate "key not detected" and immobilize the engine after a few minutes of driving the truck?

    5. I asked this question in a polite and respectful manner, to be educated about it, is this really how it is here the way people give feedback to your honest inquiry?

I like the looks of the TruXport better than my Extang Trifecta soft folding cover. I was going to get the TruXport.
