Well, even though this was all good farmland, when this tract was developed, it was senior project, single family, and duplex - all very budget minded. I met the contractors once out at a friends at Blue Hole. I asked him what contracting group he used to ensure that there wasn't a straight corner in any house on the block. "Drunk Dutchmen!" It was a nice neighborhood when we moved here, and every now and then, it tries to be one despite itself.

 

Saw this after the edit, so yeah, Ash do suck. If you have an arborist every year, you could grow nice ones. But they make a mess twice a year, and in general - suck. We came here about a decade after built, so well established in their stupid ways. But the solar grows on us!

 

That is a funny, and I never thought we'd be here after all these years. But kids, jobs, lack of finance until the very end....
When we moved here, the fire hydrant was at the corner, two Sheriff deputies on each side, good renters across the street, and 50% ownership on the block. Hospital was two block around the corner - and yes, I even spent a day there.
Like the Rascals said; "Things ain't like they used to be"~!

Did that yesterday at 2pm.......right in the middle of the heat advisory.....

 

Not a frequent poster here but I'm looking for a shop recommendation for some custom metal work around the Austin area.

My dad is looking to get a bench seat made to fit in the bed of his Gladiator. I'm not familiar with any custom shops that could do something like that near Austin but I figured y'all may know. Thanks.

 

I welded in some civic SI seats in to another civic. All I really did was weld frame to body then weld mounts to seats to make em fit. That's easy work. You can run it by me what exactly it is and we can see if I can do the work.
