    I guess for a Texan and others, "no weapons allowed" is anti-American, but I was expecting a list of establishments that are controlled or owned by China or Iran or Russia or others that might actually be anti-American on a international scale.

    In Texas specifically, and other states have variations, a private business or home may post a visible signage that has to comply with specific wording and form factor to deny entry for someone that is openly carrying, or has a concealed weapon. The OP is debating the legality of the signage, however for any private business or residence, the owner may simply ask someone to leave because they are carrying, (or for any other reason) and the person is legally advised to leave, otherwise they are now considered as Trespassing, for which law enforcement can be summoned and forcibly remove the person from the premise.

    The reality, from my experience in working and living in Texas, most people in urban areas do not conduct their day to day business carrying a side arm on their person. You will notice more open carry in rural areas, but it is not the norm.

    Open carry no, concealed carry yes. Id say a good 85% of the people I know carry daily. Im not allowed to carry on my work premises but everywhere else I carry.

    Get a standard locking safe with a cable locked to the seat. If I know I’m going to be locking up my firearm I’ll bring my burner handgun that I wouldn’t lose my shit if it got stolen.
