    I don’t pretend to be something I’m not. So mine is stupid basic with bandaids, neosporin, allergy pills, sinus stuff, burn cream, blah blah blah. It’s kind of like my traveling Walgreens store.

    I guess it wouldn’t hurt me to have some of the more advanced stuff. Maybe someone around me knows how to use it. It could save a life.

    :rofl: And you would have bled to death with a chest full of tampax.

    One of the big medical companies had a great vid on this a few years ago. Might have been TacMed or Dark Angel (?) You can and should stuff an ENTIRE Z-pak dressing into a wound channel. That little tampon isn't gonna do anything.

    Ask the lady in your life how often they bleed through those things. That's at basically 0 psi.

    For all the John Wicks on TW:

    1. Get a quality CAT tourniquet (not a cheap one from Amazon), remove it from the plastic, know how to use it before you need it. Might want to even buy one of the training CATs they sale to practice with.

    2. Throw in a pressure dressing, better yet 2. Maybe some extra gauze and call it good.

    3. Remove the IR Strobes, zombie bite kits, and other assorted BS.

    Add in a chest seal, too...

    And all you Three Kings wannabes likely don't know how to properly perform a needle thoracostomy, or interpreting vitals to determine if the need for that intervention even exists. Get rid of it before you exacerbate or kill someone. In most of the situations encountered, a rapidly placed chest seal can prevent the need...

    Second or third intercostal, mid clavicular. Go over the rib ;).

    Fun and easy to do haha. Except for the situation in which they're required.

    But yes. For the love of God unless you're trained and can assess/manage what you're doing... Don't do it.

    For non medical folks, external interventions is all you need.
