I was just looking up FJ80s in the snow, seems like they do really well with chains and a locker, without the chains... at least on an incline, they're just as weird as any other vehicle with loose footing

 

Do you have to go in a lower gear in the cruisers?

 

What do you mean? They're all autos and 1st gear is a granny gear, super low speed but really high torque, on dry land driving around town the cruiser gets to maybe 5mph before shifting to 2nd gear. It's just for starting and is a freaking godsend when pulling a trailer. 2nd gear and 3rd gear with the 1FZ's torque is gonna be where you want to be in snow so you can get some good wheel speed going. I suppose you could snow wheel in low range but I dunno why you would, the cruiser has tons of power in high for this kind of stuff.

 

I guess what I mean is like my truck, where I have to go into 4low

 

Oh no, for snow I wouldn't, shouldn't have to with an LC, more than enough torque to get everything moving in high range on snow.

 

This should be a hate crime

 

@eon_blue why not build a 1st gen dc tundra? Gotta be cheaper than an Lc or Tacoma

 

And prosecuted to to the fullest extent possible applicable by law

No, this time I’m ordering the correct sized U-Bolts so cutting is unnecessary.
