IT'S ALMOST FRIDAY.

omg.omg.omg. doing anything fun this weekend? I'll be hiking ragged mountain.

 

Soccer with the kiddo Saturday morning... followed by cutting my buddy's grass, and hopefully mine as well... followed by a BBQ at my neighbor's house.

And nothing on Sunday, hopefully.

I'm going to attempt to flip the trailer over and paint the bottom
Wheeling RI spot on Sunday

 

Hope the trailer flipping/painting goes smoothly. Wish I could wheel this weekend but it’s the wife’s birthday.

Plus I have some projects to knock out. Gotta prep and paint sliders when they come. And I finally got the tool to remove the springs on the plow. Gotta pull those off so I can pull the base angle off and find a metal shop that can torch and bend the trip spring mounts back to square. Left two are all sorts of messed up. What a fun / expensive learning experience this was.

 

Actually, I might spend some time dialing in some better looking radio knobs on the 3d printer...See if I can get the ABS dialed in to compensate for shrinkage...

 

Spending some quality time with the grandson today took him down to see the Nautilus submarine and then went to Fort Griswold that was used in 1775 to fight off the British I think enjoy

Just a side note, The Submarine tour is FREE,
Fort Griswold is FREE.
Both of these are in the Groton.Ct.and less three miles apart.

Lots of climbing inside the sub,
lots of walking at Fort Griswold.
I went to the top of the obelisk, 169 stairs and in a circular format.
Had to stop 3 times to give my legs and kneecaps a break.Grandson was laughing that i was really showing my age. 30yrs+42yrs.
But it was worth it.
The fort is x the street from the tower worth the walk.
In the museum at the base of the tower has a model of the fort for perspective. HANDS OFF look but DONT TOUCH.
The battlements are still there and you are looking down from a high point overlooking New London .
The battle happened in 1775.must have been a bitch to fight up hill.

The natulis museim is located at the south end of the Submarine base just next to the main gate, on rt12 about 2 miles north of the gold star bridge rt 95 north / south.Clearly marked. The Mohegan casino is 10miles north on rt12 to rt 2a ,clearly marked.
The Coast Guard Academy (west side of the Thames River) on rt 32 directly across from the sub base.
Sub base is in the east side fo the Thames River.
