    60.3 here now inside and out, been highs of 70-73 for awhile. Has only broken 80 a couple of times and then just barely. No heat and no AC, I like this time of year.

    You mean Bozeangles?

    On an Upland website someone recently asked about moving to Montana and one of the guys that lives behind the Potato Curtain next door posted the perfect response IMO. But the Plentywood area in the NE corner is where bird hunters from all over the country go for huns, sharpies and pheasant. Blue and Ruff grouse are in the 1/3 part of the State that most everyone wants to live.

    Missoula is Portland light, progressive for Montana. Good food scene, great music scene, more PNW like than the rest of the state. College town keeps things interesting. Good access to recreation, bird hunting isn't phenomenal but pheasants are NW and mountain grouse are available. Housing isn't cheap.

    Bozeangles...Great access to recreation, but everyone else in town recreates so also lots of competition. Much like Boise, everyone is jumping ship from CA for it. Kind of a suburban hell surrounded by mountains, seems apartment complexes are appearing on every corner. Somewhat diverse town for MT with the college. Close to the park and lots of cool smaller towns. Great skiing when it snows. Getting expensive.

    Billings is kind of a wildcard. Big city, industrial feel and economy with mining and what not playing a big role. Lot's to do if you look hard enough and not everyone is a hardcore recreationist. Outside named it their top city a few years back. Microbrews popping up all over, good biking, the Bighorn. Lot's of cool places within striking distance. Lots of birds. Lots of snakes.

    Helena is very charming downtown. Capital type stuff keeps the economy going. Good fishing and waterways close by, bird hunting is a drive. Fun ski hill but it only snows once a decade or so. Some interesting places to poke around like White Sulphur Springs, Craig, etc.

    Great Falls, I've never spent too much time here. It kind of feels like stepping back a few decades. Flat, good bird hunting from what I understand. Close to great fishing. If Teton Pass ski area ever opened back up that is a serious GEM. Cheaper than most of Montana? Air Force contingent.

    Butte has cheap housing, a super fund site, and lots of Meth? There are huns abound but mostly on private property. Supper Clubs are a fun diversion but I wouldn't live here.

    Kalispel/Whitefish has a nice blue collar/resort town dichotomy. A few nazis moved from CDL to this neck of the woods so there's that. PNW climate, close to inland BC awesomeness. Glacier. Cool area.

    @MTgirl

    Star Wars Canyon / Jedi loop also known as Rainbow Canyon in Death Valley . Fighter pilots from NAS Lemoore, NAS China Lake and Nellis AFB will practice strafing and bombing runs on unsuspecting campers in the Panamint Valley area

    I remember many times camping there and have had military aircraft lock onto a campsite and buzz you at under 500ft at 450kts . One time In particular was 0530hrs

    Malmstrom is a bit to your north. They might have something other than missiles up there.

    No, I drive a minivan for work. It's faster and gets better gas mileage.

    Good Friday morning all. Off to work in just a bit. When I get home, the house will be filled with wifey's family. They're all coming for our daughter's HS graduation tomorrow.

    Had a meeting at work yesterday. Their going to have 3 short term layoffs. 1st week of July, last week of July and last week of August. Only people working are V-6 & V-8 folks. And
    skilled trades. I'm not sure if I can volunteer for it. I sure could use some more time off:D
