    Hello,

I recently bought a 2013 taco and I’m completely new to trucks.
I know that I want a 3 inch lift on it but I wanted to get some tires as well.

What is the largest, or best looking tires that I can fit that won’t require any sort of cutting or modifications.

    Thanks!

    Currently I have stock everything.
245/75r16 Is what’s on it now.

I would of course want all new wheel tire setup when I lift it. I’m just trying to get a feeling for how big I can go without rubbing and making any cuts.

And there won’t be any rubbing on the 265?

Bone stock but with BFG KO2's 265/70R17
2015 TRD Sport - stock suspension, stock wheels, running 265/70/17 BFG KO2s, no rubbing even at full lock. Although, I will say it is my observation the TRD sport suspension is a bit taller than the non-TRD sport suspension (the techies on here can correct me on that).

I have a 2.5 lift on my truck the extra half-inch came from the height of the tires I have a stack 17 inch rim on my truck and the biggest tire I can fit as a 265/70/17
Basically what Allan, said right above me ☝☝☝
Also something to be mindful of when you get these size tires is if they have “meater” sidewalls The tires will rub on the stock UCA’s
I have 265/70/17’s BFG KO2’s and this is the clearance I have from my stock UCA

Indirectly I should get at a minimum 1 inch of back-spacing or upgraded UCA’s

With a 3 inch lift you can fit 285/70/17 on stock rims with 1.5" spacers to clear the UCA. Some cutting involved. Will have to remove the mud flaps for sure.

However, 265/70/17 fit without spacers on stock wheels with a 3" lift. At least it did for me. However, the UCA was verrrry close so I'd recommend different wheels or spacers if you like the stock wheels

Focus on suspension first. Then wheels and tires. I have a bilstein suspension build tutorial. Check it out

If this is your first truck I would recommend getting some 3rd gen suspension and lifting the rear a touch first. See how it handles on and off road, then go for a full lift. You'll be surprised how much clearance you have with that setup.

I’m running a 265/75/16 on factory 08 trd off road rims. Mud flaps are still there. It’s close to the UCA’s but no rubbing anywhere what so ever also at stock height sadly.

Surprisingly no but it’s a little too close for comfort but even my original BFG KO’s that I had were that close

@NavyGuyAN I have the same tires in the same size but have at least 3/4 to 1 inch of clearance (2 finger widths) between the tire sidewall and the UCA. Maybe the difference between the '10 and the '15 UCA or the wheels. I checked it after your post but don't have a pic.
