I am not questioning whether or not it is a safer substance than cigarettes.i can see where it would be (less particulates). They have absolutely targeted kids with their marketing for flavored product and it does contain nicotine. Many 18 year olds still go to high school, so that provides access. In my mind, there is no questions that it is a gateway product to other nicotine based options, like cigarettes. I completely understand if you don’t agree with my assessment.
Edit: Fun fact, 90% of smokers start before they are 18 years old

I hadn’t seen that one, but I live in the Sacramento area, so was familiar with the flavored e-cig ban.

This is really only an opinion, a statement without facts doesn’t make it true. Without having different flavors I would not of been able to or wanted to quit 14 yrs of smoking 1-2 packs daily. Adults can’t like flavors? I quit with strawberry milk. But yes it does have nicotine which by the way is no more harmful than caffeine.

That gateway statement/opinion is a far stretch. Non smokers going from a flavored juice to a nasty cigarette seems like a big reach to me. Also Sounds like another false campaign that was being force fed to the public in the past. No worries, I was skeptical at first too until I stopped listening to what the media was/is force feeding the public and doing my own research. And I realize my posts won’t change your thinking at a snap of a finger… but I do hope it can get you to think/question certain things you may hear especially before repeating false information. Vaping can save “a billion lives”

I apologize for the off topic posts

I do understand the benefits for those trying to quit and if flavors helped, that’s great. I do believe that the age for buying should be raised, though.

I know right? Then your wife finds out about your mistress, they steal your flavored e-cigs, AR suppressor, illegal bumper stickers, and then you have to make thread on TW about the whole deal. Crazy :p

Law Enforcement DOES care but they are very busy. That's a fact.

However, I will tell you after doing volunteer work for MANY law enforcement K-9 Units over the years...I DO get (and have GOT) "preferential" treatment as it relates to crimes committed against me personally.

I had a couple of dumb-asses kick my front door in on Good Friday a few years ago. These two dipsticks ran like roaches to their car and squealed off when they heard me yell and I was RIGHT behind them (within 10 feet). They narrowly missed getting a .45acp round to the chest, and my two German Shepherds were right behind ME. I didn't fire because they were running and the round would have been in their backside and if I fired...*I* would have been at fault! After they squealed off, I picked up my cell phone and called one of my law enforcement friends on his personal cell phone and had a K-9 Unit at my house within 15 minutes.

Everyone is busy and maybe doing volunteer work for law enforcement isn't of interest for the average person and nor am I trying to suggest that to you, but I will tell you that helping law enforcement is appreciated and they will go "above and beyond" to help those who help them, if at all possible and when they can.

    Ed

    EdFlecko,

sorry, that's what I actually meant. I didn't mean to imply that LEO doesn't care about crime. I meant that they are probably overloaded with cases, AND, in the case of the west coast, they are given certain political "directives" that often tie their hands. For example, in Oregon (I live in WA), the state attorney general sent a letter to several DA's, telling them in no uncertain terms that their district's LEO's, and their prosecutor's office, were arresting and prosecuting too many minorities, therefore making the state "look bad".

Now bear in mind, the Attorney General's office was not disputing that these minorities had allegedly committed said offenses. It was simply telling DA's to exercise generous prosecutorial discretion, and let a certain number of the minorities go, scot-free, to make the numbers look better.

I have no doubt that bat$hit crazy liberal Bob Ferguson up here in WA has sent similar directives to recalcitrant DA's offices. Always running for the King County governor's office, Bob is.

This is what I just did. Plus you can look in on your vehicle live at any time, and it shows GPS location all the time. I love the Guard mode so it's always watching and ready to capture clips when you're away.

people on nextdoor have complained about car thefts but some reason i've been unscathed even though i have stuff worth stealing. it's probably the shaker bottle with week old protein residue in it that's warding off the tweakers.

There seems to be no rhyme or reason to what a tweaker will break into.

It doesn't even have to be of value....It could be a $1 harbor freight screwdriver and they'll take it. It's all about what they think they can trade and barter for their next fix.

So that guy who wanted to trade for my 1500 bucks laptop on CL was probably a tweaker! He was offering a bunch of xbox 360 (!) games and two unspecified drones and I think a desktop LCD display.
