Had mine for 5 months, never jammed or came loose. Just make sure you clean the channels really well with alcohol before putting the double side tape on.

Put yellow Lamin-x on the fogs. Ordered amber Lamin-x to try and match the side lights.

Had these A.R.E. Overland Truck cap, Cover King Tactical seat covers, OME BP-51 full suspension and dakars, SPC adjustable UCA's, Husky Floor Mats, Mobtown Off-road sliders, Cali Raised light bar and ditch lights and bed stiffeners, mobtown off-road front ifs skid, uniden bearcat CB Amd firestick. Now a super fancy stock truck!
Ohh yeah you loose a crap ton. Most dealers do t care about mods because people want their own stuff on them. Depending on how u have it modded it may sit on their lot longer because the right person hasn’t come in yet and they want to sell your trade fast. For example if I left my truck cap on they would only give me $500 extra. So I sold it for $1500. That’s just more money down. Rock sliders, skids and stuff like that the general public has no idea what that shit is for. They just want steps or nerf bars

Installed AVS Ventvisor (194768) and Bugflector 2 (25681) hood protector. Very easy to install both, hood protector mounts underneath hood which I like if I ever need to remove it it can be reinstalled.

I do not like how the hood protector does not line up perfectly; its slightly off but you would not notice unless you were looking. Also they came with plenty of minor light surface scratch even though everything was well packaged (or so it seemed) which is a little disappointing but I guess it was really only a matter of time since this material scuffs and scratches easily regardless.

On AVS's website they list a new style "hood protector" that is coming soon in July called the "Aeroskin Lightshield" hood protector. It features amber LED marker lights. I might return the Bugflector 2 and try this when it comes out next month..

You're right. I think the used car sales people would rather deal with a completely stock vehicle and most wouldn't know how to articulate the benefits of any mods. When I traded in my Sport it had TRD CAI, TRD Cat Back, TRD skid plate and Homelink mirror. All things I added (the mirror was negotiated when I bought it) They added zero in the trade value for those items, but I did negotiate them installing these items on the OR I was buying since they all only had about 1500 miles on them except the mirror which was there from day one. If you can remove mods and get some value out of selling them or reusing, that's the best route on this deal. Or sell the truck privately where you could find knowledgeable buyers who know the value of the added items.

Added predator steps today... IDK... I was hoping I was going to love them more than I do. Maybe they'll grow on me. On the bright side, my three year old daughter can now climb in, so I guess that's a win

Haha that is one nice feature, I was scrubbing my bed out this past weekend and my knee kept slipping into the ruts :annoyed: already used it a couple times either just hanging out sitting around and putting food and drinks and it’s very convenient.

Yeah it is pricey, thankfully my wife got it as a Father’s Day gift and they were doing a sale for like $30 off. So still pricey but I think it be worth it in the end.

good eye, yeah some a** keyed my thin blue line decal, frustrating to say the least. It has my ex-LEO buddy's name who passed last year printed in the middle where they scratched it out too...you would think people would at least have some respect considering there's clearly more to it. oh well, i run a print shop and will be making a new one this week.

also, cheers! i found the shell mounted on a used tacoma that was for sale, 2 weeks of sweet talking the used car dealer who had it listed and he sold it to me.

Works great. One of the best I have ever used. I too was skeptical. Proof is in the pudding. Lasts a long time too.

Not Taco related but had a lovely evening. Power surge from lightning storm killed home a/c. Surge so strong blew power plug connection off compressor. Looks like I hit it with a 22 cal. Hope homeowners policy helps. Was working so good too. Pic is what used to be 3 male connectors on compressor. Now only 2 male connectors and a hole. I was standing right next to it. Sounded like a 12 gg when it blew. Smoke, fire burned insulation and freon traveled 40 feet. Maybe use Taco to go buy a temp use window a/c unit tomorrow. Time to sell some more seat spacers.

I went to check one out and was literally 'sticker shocked' on this

didn't drive it because I'd have a feeling it was too precious for them to put miles on it for the asking price.
