Perhaps your grounds are not working as expected? The problem is clearly not the camera, and it doesn't seem likely it's the switch. Could be the relay. A multimeter will tell you if current is actually flowing. You could tap the probes to your red and green wires (disconnect the switch) and test for continuity. If you get tone, then the fault could be the switch itself.

I believe thats the same thing. No power to your camera will be a blank screen

Make sure the relay is well grounded wherever you have it bolted down.

Guys I need help, just installed my kit and I have two issues:

    1) All I can see is the front facing camera now, no radio, no backup camera, nothing but my front camera
    2) My carmera switch light won't turn off, even when I turn off the truck.. Had to disconnect it so it wouldn't drain my battery..

Please help SOS..SOS.. SOS.. I want this to work so bad and I'm so bummed its not..Thanks

Actually watched the video from the website, and the red pigtail wires off of the RCA plugs needs to be wired. Older videos, this was not the case. Hopefully, this is my issue.

Good news, got it to work. Unfortunately, only if the vehicle is in reverse gear. I really wanted to like this mod but I’m embarrassed to say this has taken many hours with no real results.

This quick mod installation gave me fits. Sometimes I can’t wrap my dumb brain around the simplest of fixes. Long story short, after a week I revisited this project. I removed the trim piece around/below the steering wheel and immediately noticed what was giving me a headache. There was a poor wire connection going to the camera switch. Fixing the connection, everything thing works as it should. Sometimes the simple things aren’t so simple :annoyed::facepalm::frusty:

Hey you did it! The front camera is great for cresting hills on the trail, but most of us use it to park :)
