This hawk has been on the lookout for something lol keeps coming back to the deck. Who needs a scarecrow when this guy is hanging around! Pics from 9am 2pm and just now.

That’s awesome! There was one chilling in our back yard yesterday and I watched it for a while. Such an awesome creature to see up close

 

Anyone looking to sell some bed rails for a 3rd gen Taco? I'd prefer the high mount but not a deal breaker. LMK!

 

I think that's a 1st year juvenile red shoulder hawk, but it could be a red tail too. His/her wings are tucked so damn tight that I can't see the tail feathers. Either way that's pretty awesome to see, love me some raptors so thanks for sharing. We've had a sharp increase in hawks in my area. They're hunting the power-lines and keeping the local hare and snake populations in check #deathfromabove

 

There is a breeding pair of Bald Eagles out at URE. I usually see them at the top of Daniel. So glad to see an increase in their population. There are a few up at Falls lake and Jordan lake as well.

 

There was a ton of them at Fontana Lake back in 2012-2015 when I was guiding out there. Actually got to watch one catch a fish. That was prolly one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen

Hmmmmmm wonder if you can do falconry in NC? Then you could get you one and let it loose on those little grey devils.

 

Awesome! Seen them a bunch all over the place but never one getting anything. At the beach they are lazy fucker taking what the ospreys have or waiting on the fishing boats to toss stuff over like the seagulls

 

I got airsoft, I wonder if it would be enough to detur them.. If not I could call @diverdale with his air rifle.
